I just got a dawnbringer dragon by breeding my level 17 Sun to a friend’s level 20 dawnbringer in the co-open cave on the first try. Blew me away. I’ve been trying and trying to get a Herald dragon the same way with no success at all.
I got it with smoke and dark in my epic breeding cave first try (both lvl 13)!
I picked the same combo (lvl 11 Gourd & lvl 16 Air) & got it 1st try!! I’m going to try breeding again for the egg…
Why does this dragon sometimes appear different colors? I’ve seen it mostly black, but mine is always the color of the picture?
Well, since this is a Dawnbringer Dragon, like the seasonal dragon it goes through phases every day. During the day, it brings light. But during the night… It brings darkness!
Why can’t I get this dragon?! Only howl or miasma?! I wish I had a gourd or friend with gourd because I’ve been using howl and fire as its all I have access to and nothing! Argh! I don’t want to use Rings to buy, but as only 1 day left, I very well may have to. drat!
You should’ve just tried any dragon that has fire, air, or dark. It’s okay for them to have a different element than those three, as long as the three are present btwn the two.
I wanted the pedestal so I bought the dawnbringer dragon and bread it with the trimera dragon and have now gotten it 2x in a row
Can I breed this in the cooperative cave with someone who has a Dawnbringer once it’s not available to buy?
You are supposed to be able to, but for me at least, it’s nearly impossible!

Given someone’s advice, I tried Sun with a friend’s Dawnbringer several times, to no avail. Next, I tried Rainbow with their Dawnbringer, and the outcome was 35 hours breeding time. I think it might finally be it; at least, I’m hoping it is. 🙂 Good luck, and may this also work for you!
