Win a $75 iTunes gift card, courtesy of Macenstein and and Headline
If you’re anything like me, ever since Apple opened their iTunes App store you’ve been running up quite a little tab buying apps for your iPhone/iPod touch, and if you haven’t, odds are it isn’t so much because you have amazing self control so much as you are too poor to be plunking down your hard-earned cash on an app that may suck.
Well, lucky for you, we here at Macenstein feel your poverty and have come up with our easiest contest yet, and it can net you a $75 iTunes gift certificate, enough to buy a whole screenfull of sucky apps (I guess you could use it to buy music and videos too, but honestly I’m not even sure iTunes still sells those…). We’ve partnered with Doseido, makers of the new RSS reader Headline, to bring you a contest as simple as using Headline itself. Here’s how to enter:
1) Download the free demo of Headline
2) Subscribe to Macenstein‘s RSS feed in Headline
3) E-mail us a screenshot showing you have successfully completed steps 1 and 2, and you are entered!
It doesn’t get much easier than that. The contest runs now through August 15th. We’ll pick a random winner from all valid entries and announce the results on the 16th. Good luck! (Oh, US residents only (or at least you must have a US iTunes account) sorry).
Boo to US residents only!…I am running up quite a tab due to my “just ony more won’t hurt” mindset… hehe
Sorry bout that C.,
It’s just a hassle trying to buy gift certificate through iTunes for non US e-mail addresses. Not sure why this is the case, but Apple likes gifts to be bought for residents of the same country that the person buying them lives in.
🙁

Boo to us residents only, although i see your point. Is there not a virtual gift card sort of thing?
Boo to OS X Users only. 😉
Well I don’t have a problem this. I live in Australia.
And I am still waiting for my iphone to arrive ;(
I ordered it 11 days ago, signed a contract with the telco and all and still no iphone. I have all these apps in my itunes account ready and raring to go, but no phone.
Oh well, serves me right for living in Australia I guess.
macenstein should be on their list of feeds by default! this oversight is laughable! 🙂
entered.
wow i kinda like this RSS reader 🙂
From the look of this, Doc, most of your readers are non-US 🙂
Just the whiny ones, Andrew.
🙂
(j/k guys!)

Totally entered.
I like this reader.
I’m Australian, but I have a US iTunes account, so I entered.
AFAIK though, if you send the voucher to an email that doesn’t have a foreign iTunes account attached, it’ll let them create a US account (without a US credit card)
Just a thought, maybe you guys should give away $25 worth to 3 winners.
Checking out the app right now. Looks promising!
Awesome application! Thanks for the cool contest and introducing me to a nice RSS reader! 🙂
