WordPress iPhone App uploaded to the iTunes Store, release imminent
WordPress Bloggers everywhere (including us here at Macenstein) will be happy to know that Raanan Bar-Cohen over at WordPress.net says they have successfully uploaded their WordPress client for iPhone to the iTunes App Store, and the App is currently listed as “in review”.
“We have not been provided with an ETA,” write Raanan, “so it could get approved at any time”. Check out the below video to see the iPhone WordPress client in action.
I feel like a total WP Addict for saying this, but this is the first iPhone app I really want and would make me seriously consider switching over to AT&T for an iPhone. Thanks for the heads-up!
Interesting, but probably not super practical until the iPhone can work with an external keyboard. If only…
Imminent ? I have an application in “Review” for more than two weeks, if the review process is the same for everybody I don’t think we will see this for at least a month.
This can be rather useful, especially for shorter posts (given the limitations in text editing, on the platform). Access to archived posts is a really neat feature.
Any idea if there’ll be an easy way to access Safari bookmarks? It’d be a pain to retype all URLs.
Great idea but I have to agree with Jonro about the keyboard thing – if only Apple or a thrid-party manufacturer could come up with an external keyboard for the iPhone then it would make the WordPress App that much more perfect. A WordPress app would already be great – an external keyboard would just be the icing on the cake. So many people they had an external keyboard for the iphone just like the old Palm PDAs. Would make business people happier too!
As of Tuesday am (ET), the app is available for download on the app store.
