Phili International rocks the Mac
Faithful Macenstein reader Jeremy was stuck between flights at Philadelphia International when he noticed the airport was using Macs to run its displays.
Apparently a computer named VP-FC1-97 was in charge of running something on that screen, but went to sleep. Still, sleeping ain’t freezing, and it’s a welcome change from the usual Windows “Blue Screen of Death” more Airport displays sport.
Ha! Go Philadelphia! Way to get the macs out there!!!
Lol. I was at that airport when reading that message. Better than that, from there I got on a flight with this 80 year old woman who owned one of the first macs that was ever mass produced in the early 80s. She told me about a 20MB hard drive that she spent like $1000. Proof of Moore’s Law.
