Thank you, we have a winner – this Contest is closed. Congrats to faithful Macenstein reader Scotty D!
On the Twelfth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) Toast 10 Titanium Pro from Roxio!
That’s right, Roxio released this monster update today at Macworld, and we are you giving you a chance to snag your very own copy of the Pro version of Roxio’s award-winning CD/DVD burning/Media Streaming/video compressing/Tivo-loving/ High-Def supporting/File Syncing/too much more to naming- software!

Toast had already long ago evolved from a mere CD/DVD burning application, but version 10 has so many cool new features that you may find it replaces many of your existing media applications. In fact, there’s so much cool stuff in Toast 10, even if you never burn a single disc you’re still going to want to pick it up! You can check out the full list of features here, but some of the cooler new features in version 10 are:
AVCHD™ Archive – Backup original video from AVCHD camcorders direct to DVD or BD media in one easy step.
Mac2TiVo – Send standard definition and HD video from your Mac to your TiVo DVR for viewing on your TV.
Web Video To Go – Save Web video from your favorite video sharing sites to view offline, burn or convert it for viewing on portable players such as an iPod or iPhone.
On-the-go Entertainment – Stream and watch television programs, such as EyeTV recordings and TiVoToGo transfers on your iPhone or iPod touch over Wi-Fi with the new iPhone native application Streamer®.
Portable Audiobooks – Convert audiobook CDs into single audiobook files for playback on your iPod or other portable player– complete with individual chapters – no more individual audiobook chapter files scattered throughout your iTunes library or iPod.
Music Builder – Expand your audio library by capturing streaming audio. Toast now automatically splits captured songs into tracks, tags them with title and artist information, and then sends them to iTunes.
Folder Sync – Synchronize folders bi-directionally between multiple computers, network volumes or external hard disks.
Stunning DVDs – Create personalized DVDs with any of the over 20 new DVD and Blu-ray Disc menu styles—available in both full screen and high-definition widescreen versions.
Plus, since you are winning the PRO version of Toast 10, you also get these five 3rd party apps designed to handle all your High-def, audio, and photo needs!
HD/BD Plug-In – Author HD video content on to standard DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. Take high-def (HD) video footage from AVCHD™ camcorders, TiVo® and EyeTV and create Blu-ray Discs or even standard DVDs with HD content that can be played on any standard Blu-ray set top box or PlayStation® 3 game console.
SmartSound Sonicfire™ Pro – Orchestrate the perfect sound track to accompany videos and slideshows. Use Sonicfire Pro’s unique automatic “Mood Mapping†feature or select from a library of included music tracks and adjust the mix and feel of the score to perfectly match your videos and slideshows.
BIAS SoundSoap™ – Remove unwanted noise like wind, hisses, scratches, and pops from LPs, cassettes, or almost any audio, music or video soundtrack.
LightZone™ – Produce striking photos in a simple and intuitive way. Sophisticated features such as zone mapping and relight give you the control to achieve professional quality results.
FotoMagico™ – Turn pictures into spellbinding slideshows with a few simple clicks, and then present them in high definition. Innovative text, transition and alignment tools ensure astonishing results. Burn your slideshow to DVD or Blu-ray Disc for easy viewing and sharing.
To enter: Since Toast 10 is first and foremost about burning discs, leave us a comment telling us what horrible CD or DVD you would want to burn, literally, in a bonfire. It could be a Backstreet Boys CD your aunt gave you for Christmas one year, or the extended director’s cut of Halle Berry’s Catwoman. Maybe it’s that Barney & Friends CD your kids make you play when you get in the car – plastic fumes, be damned, you know of a disc somewhere that needs burning! Winners will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to all readers world-wide. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — not to be confused with Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
“…but Steve, you liked the first one so much…”
my well-meaning mother gave me a kenny-g christmas CD that’s never seen the outside of the shrink wrap.

The Music Man
any of the old 80s rap albums my wife has in the CD carousel. AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!
A CD full of Window’s ME Drivers. I don’t have one, I don’t need one. Thinking about one is creepy
I want to burn my Rocky V DVD that came in the collectors edition, it just doesn’t belong in there!
I’d say either a windows install disc or any barney cd ever made
One of original Windows CDs, so I could finally insert it into shredder 🙂
My grandma once asked me what type of music I liked and I replied with seventies classic rock. For Christmas that year I received a Greatest Hits of Disco CD. Despite the Disco Star Wars theme, I would like to throw this on the fire.
spice girls
I’d love to burn a disc of that movie, Epic Movie. My son really wanted to go see it in the theatre, so we did. I’ll never get that hour and a half back, but this could help me feel better.
A CD called, “kiss my ass” it’s a KISS tribute CD! Yes thats what I said KISS tribute CD and I paid money for it! UGH! But the worst is that Garth Brooks is on it singing, “Hard Luck Women”. Also has a sweet, well not so sweet version of, “She” by none other than Anthrax.
I would enjoy seeing any Quicken for Mac CD going up in flames.
Sugarland?
fallout boy…gay
Crossroads, from… britney spears! Yeah, she released a “movie”. (Crossroads is better from Eric Clapton!)
Haha, great idea! I never tried to burn a CD/DVD. It may be dangerous, isn’t it?
the windows Me instaltion disk must be burned
My Star Wars Christmas Special bootleg….
Jimmy Buffett – Greatest Hits
(i think that’s the only CD my wife owns. i hate that CD.)

a jonas brothers cd/dvd/memorabilia…
Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana (DVDs or CDs, I’m not picky)
Howard the Duck – and I think you could get everyone to donate their copy . I’ll skip the ‘quackling fire’ jokes.
Any and all disco.
The Big Lebowski. I know some people love it, but I never really thought it was all that funny.
Any CD that Soulja Boy has recorded onto…I hate his music!!
All Windows Discs.
Toast!!! yes finally
Driver’s Ed
All my Palm OS CDs
Any Bratz DVD. I don’t need anyone teaching my daughters how to be pre-teen prostitutes.
The Cable Guy. Unwatchable.
Absolutely no likable or even sympathetic characters. And I usually like both Broderick and Carrey (well, not as often Carrey). Hated Carrey’s character, didn’t even feel the least sympathetic. Hated Broderick’s character, could empathize with him at all. Story sucked, too. Oddly, the acting wasn’t bad. Just (just?!) the story and characters.
Sorta like a 90 minute episode of Seinfeld, but not funny or clever.
Dawn of The Dead (2004 DVD)
any spoof movie made in the last 5 years (epic movie, disaster movie, etc…)
I would burn any DVD of Galactica 1980. The first season was so spot on and then they got rid of everything that was good about it!
Billy Joel. Any and all of them.
Wild WIld West
the cheeky girls
An Enciclopedia CD set with 20 CD’s
One for each letter!
It was back at the time when Google was very far from us…. beyond the dial-up connection, that is.
I would torch the DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean – ugh, I can’t stand Johnny Depp (Dip).
