“The 12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaway: Day 17
[Thank you, we have a winner. This contest is now closed. Congratulation to faithful Macenstein reader Brett!]
On the Seventeenth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) Your very own copy of DiskWarrior 4 by Alsoft!
Yes, the mighty DiskWarrior 4, the safest, most technologically advanced, most powerful utility to eliminate directory damage available for any computer, and, the only product, hardware or software, that has ever earned the highly sought after 10 out of 10 rating from Macenstein. Why? Because it rescued my entire 60 GB music collection when I had a drive go kablooey on me and other disk repair utilities failed.
The key to DiskWarrior’s success is that it is not a disk repair program in the conventional sense. Instead of patching the original directory, it uses a patent-pending technology to quickly build a new replacement directory using data recovered from the original directory, thereby recovering files, folders and documents that you thought were lost and that no other program could recover.
Those of you who have had disk trouble and who have written to me in desperation know DiskWarrior is my go-to answer, so if you do not own it already, and don’t win it here, go buy a copy. You’ll be glad you did.
To enter: Since DiskWarrior is the weapon of choice when fighting damaged disks, leave us a comment with the coolest imaginary weapon in TV/Film/videogame history. It could be the Death Star from Star Wars, The Sword of Omens from Thundercats, or Sticky Grenades from Halo 3 (but we all know it is the Glave from the movie Krull). Winners will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to all readers world wide. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!
I definatly think the Death Star wins here.
The car from Blaster Master for original NES, that or ED-209 from Robocop
That throwing star thing in the movie Krull!
The coolest imaginary weapon EVER is the lightsaber. You can use it for opening clamshell packaging, sword fighting, lighting a fire, killing bugs, impressing the ladies, robbing a bank, and SO MUCH MORE. Best. Weapon. Ever.
The gunblade. 😛
i second the gunblade
the mind of the son of mrs and ms fantastic… it can create entire worlds
The lightsaber would have to be the coolest weapon ever. The ultimate utility knife for anybodies kitchen 😛
Everyone knows it’s the Gunblade from Final Fantasy.
Wolverine’s blades.
Gunblade… For sure!
Lightsaber!!!!
The starship Spaceball I when it transforms into Mega Maid!
LightSabre. It’s the best close-range weapon….unless you are a klutz, in which case you WILL lose an appendage.
noob comb (halo 2)
BFG!
The lightsaber!
I’d choose either the Predator Smart Disc or a Ghost Buster Proton Pack
The military robots from Short Circuit
Redeemer from Unreal
The MAC from the Halo series.
Coolest weapon? The chainsaw arm that Ash has in the Evil Dead films. Way cool.
Lightsaber
Those staff things they use in Stargate. They have class.
Hellboy’s “Big Baby”
In my opinion, it’s a tie between the Portal and Gravity guns.
C’mon guys…this one’s easy: The arm blades The Predator had! Elongated for AvP!! And the shoulder-mounted blaster!
The sword of Azeroth from the big bang theory. (Okay, it’s probably not *from* that, but that’s where I heard of it from.)
The car battery
watch Children of Men
you will then know what i mean
Doom’s BFG FTW!
The Force!
The Stone of Gol.
Starship Enterprise
definitely the freeze ray from Dr. Horrible’s singalong blog 🙂
The doomsday device from Dr Strangelove.
Lightsaber. Even the little cheese cutting one from Family Guy’s Blue Harvest was awesome.
BFG9000 – from the original Doom for sure!
BTW, I just had my brand new (late 2008) Macbook Pro die on me yesterday – invalid node structure or something like that – I could definitely use a copy of this to try and rescue some of that data.
While the Glave is cool, I expected you to mention the Lightning Shield or Ming’s Ring from Flash Gordon. I’m probably the only one who thinks that Prince Vultan looks like King Leonidas from 300…
Star Wars light sabers!
Voltron
Wolverine’s Claws.
Dirk Diggler’s cock in “Boogie Nights” that thing was a lethal weapon.
lightsaber, of course
sharks with laser beams on their friggin heads!
for me Death Star.
ciao!
Lightsaber.
Second to none. Top of the heap. Pinnacle of perfection. Summit of excellence. One in a million. Cream of the crop.
You know what i mean…
Just to throw something new out there, I’ll go with the Omnidroid robots from The Incredibles.
Lancer from Gears of War(2).
Definitely the light saber. Honorable mention to Dr. Horrible’s Freeze Ray.
