“The 12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaway: Day 17
[Thank you, we have a winner. This contest is now closed. Congratulation to faithful Macenstein reader Brett!]
On the Seventeenth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) Your very own copy of DiskWarrior 4 by Alsoft!
Yes, the mighty DiskWarrior 4, the safest, most technologically advanced, most powerful utility to eliminate directory damage available for any computer, and, the only product, hardware or software, that has ever earned the highly sought after 10 out of 10 rating from Macenstein. Why? Because it rescued my entire 60 GB music collection when I had a drive go kablooey on me and other disk repair utilities failed.
The key to DiskWarrior’s success is that it is not a disk repair program in the conventional sense. Instead of patching the original directory, it uses a patent-pending technology to quickly build a new replacement directory using data recovered from the original directory, thereby recovering files, folders and documents that you thought were lost and that no other program could recover.
Those of you who have had disk trouble and who have written to me in desperation know DiskWarrior is my go-to answer, so if you do not own it already, and don’t win it here, go buy a copy. You’ll be glad you did.
To enter: Since DiskWarrior is the weapon of choice when fighting damaged disks, leave us a comment with the coolest imaginary weapon in TV/Film/videogame history. It could be the Death Star from Star Wars, The Sword of Omens from Thundercats, or Sticky Grenades from Halo 3 (but we all know it is the Glave from the movie Krull). Winners will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to all readers world wide. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!
Drones from Stargate SG1 / Stargate Atlantis
Robocop just rox.
Would you believe the “nude bomb” from the 1980 Get Smart: The Nude Bomb movie?
A upgraded ship of the Asgard from Stargate series.
How is it not the lightsaber, people! C’mon!
Gotta be light saber.
duel monsters cause if u can get hurt playing a children’s card game, imagine wat else u can do
It may be cliche at this point, but I have to go with lightsaber here. Becuase to be cool, a weapon has to be something that *I* could have fun using. And how fun is it to hit a button and fire the Death Star laser?
The gun the bad guys had in Eraser, shot metal pellets at 3/4 the speed of light
deathstar
green lantern’s ring. It’s a weapon and a toy all wrapped up into one.
‘knife’ – counter strike
I HAVE TO SAY The lightsaber also
The sleep command ordering the Borg to sleep on Star Trek TNG. The simplest solution in the face of greatest odds.
Yeah lightsaber definitely.
The Matrix Revolution’s APU
I always preferred the silver shamrocks costume masks from Halloween III (Season of the Witch). With the microchip created from pieces of stonehenge, a special TV signal exploded the wearers’ heads and turned their brains into mush and icky bugs. good times for all. Yes, stupid movie, but great ad soundtrack for the masks…
Lightsaber
blue screen of death
I just love the star wars swords!
Photon torpedo
um, do lazer cats count?
lightsaber
Thunderstrike from World of Warcraft game
Ghostbuster Proton Pack. Just don’t cross the streams.
That would be the lightsaber from Star Wars!
Lightsaber
The light saber. It does everything from dispatching siths to opening cans. By the way, I’ve been using DiskWarrior for about a year and it’s a great utility. I run it periodically on my Macs to make sure to keep things running smoothly.
the dematerializer from “the real ghostbusters” or the proton packs from “ghostbusters”
Chuck Norris
Have to be the light saber. Most definitely.
Gravity gun from HalfLife2
Light saber hands down.
Gunblade.
A katamari… not intended to be a weapon, but I sure wouldn’t to get rolled up in one.
Phaser from Star Trek : TOS…
Lightsaber, nothing else sounds or looks as cool. Of course, you have to be a Jedi to best use it!
The lightsaber. The sound alone is great.
Torque Bow from GoW.
Weirding module from Dune. it’s not from the books but still awesome
Like many readers have said, I’m going with the BFG!
The lightsaber…I mean, how more awesome can you get?
It has to be lightsaber
I agree: lightsaber.
the gunblade
Magic wand from Harry Potter.
