“The 12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaway: Day 18
[Thank you, we have a winner. This contest is now closed. Congratulation to faithful MAcenstein reader jonasr!]
On the Eighteenth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) A EyeTV 250 Plus from Elgato!
I’ve got one of these hooked to a Mac mini and I love it. EyeTV 250 Plus is a hybrid TV tuner for the Mac with a powerful hardware encoder for higher quality recordings and smaller sized video files. EyeTV 250 Plus receives free-to-air HDTV, analog TV, and Clear QAM unencrypted digital cable. EyeTV 250 Plus is also a perfect solution for converting videos from VHS tape to DVD-Video.
And of course the 250 ships with Elgato’s awesome EyeTV 3 software which allows you to watch and record TV on your Mac, rewind, fast forward, and pause live TV, search the Program Guide using detailed criteria (USA only), create TV series subscriptions with Smart Guides removing commercials, and export to iPods and iPhone with a click.
To enter: During our last Elgato giveaway we asked you tell us your favorite TV show. This time, we want to know the WORST show on TV. So tell us, if you win, what is the one show you will NEVER record using the EyeTV 250? (Hint, hopefully it rhymes with Knight Rider). Winners will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to all readers world-wide. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!

Grey’s Anatomy
There isn’t enough room on any disk for the amount of shows I wouldn’t record.
But if I had to pick one, it would be “How I Met Your Mother.” Even NPH can’t save this POC Seinfeld-wanna-be.
the news, just too damn negative this days
“Mind of Mencia”, because he’s the worst sort of clown, the ass clown. I see funnier things in my kid’s diapers.

reality tv
While I don’t watch much tv, I did manage to catch a few minutes of the new ‘Knight Rider’…my remote couldn’t turn the channel fast enough. Perhaps all it needs is the return of KATT to at least make it a comedy.
Me too. Everybody Loves Raymond
Dora the Explorer (Explor-a)
I can’t stand TV shows that ask for “virtual” feedback. They never actually know what you do in response, but assume that you “click” things.
We’re starting a generation of kids that think they can talk to their TVs and the show will react.
“24” I Don’t like my televisions shows to happen in real time. I have enough of that every day.
Of course you chose the show that immediately leaps to the front of everyone’s minds – the new KNIGHT RIDER. Almost as good as the remake of BIONIC WOMAN last year, but not.
I have to choose KNIGHT RIDER because it was a show that made it through the “should I even attempt to watch this” filter, and then I watched all of 3-5 minutes of it before deleting it from my DVR. In fact, I’ve actually stopped watching television and turned off my cable TV subscription, that’s how bad it was.
Even recalling it to write this post has been a painful experience.
CSI should be scrapped from the airwaves!
american idol
Even though I like the idea, I’m not recording Bromance.
