Win a Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 3G / 3Gs!

[THANK YOU, WE HAVE A WINNER! THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED. CONGRATS TO FAITHFUL MACENSTEIN READER VINCENT!]

When you think about it, batteries may be the single greatest invention ever. They give us the freedom to use our electronics virtually ANYWHERE, completely freeing us from having to interact with other people. And probably the greatest battery of them all comes from Mophie, makers of the Juice Pack line of iPod and iPhone external batteries. And probably the greatest battery that Mophie makes is the Mophie Juice Pack Air, the super slim battery and iPhone case combined into one sleek, stylish, black, white, or purple case.

If you have an iPhone 3G, you want the Juice Pack Air. Why? Well, because the iPhone eats batteries for breakfast, and odds are you want an iPhone that still works well after lunchtime. It offers you the full protection of a hard-shell case while providing virtually twice the battery life of the iPhone alone; all in an ultra-thin, light-weight, low-profile design.
• The world’s thinnest Apple certified “Works With iPhone” external battery for iPhone 3G and 3Gs!
• Rechargeable 1200mAh lithium polymer battery virtually doubles your time to rock, talk, surf and send.
• Pass-through USB charging and sync with iTunes
• Extended smart battery and full case protection
• On/Off switch offers choice of battery or case
• Integrated 4 LED charge status indicator Iight combines nearly all the battery charging goodness of the Juice Pack (almost doubling your iPhone’s battery life) while protecting it inside a protective form-fitting case.

“Matel Electronics Basketball and Football.” Red LED lights and the great sound FX will always bring back great memories. The Head-To-Head models were perfect with friends. I still have the original “Single Player” Basketball model, and it still works great with one nine volt battery.

My new Neuton lawnmower is actually a usable machine that does what it promises, and there’s no clouds of choking black smoke. So cool that a 16-year-old refuses to use it as being insufficiently manly.

  25. Steve says:

    Maglite

  26. Garrett says:

    my iphone. hands down.

  27. Chad Whitaker says:

I have a huge Millennium Falcon which takes four big C Batteries, and all that it does is make some awesome missile and laser PEW PEW!!! sounds and a few LED’s light up. Probably the greatest toy I have ever had, and holy crap, if I had had to plug it in, it would have sucked. WAY TO GO BATTERIES!!

  28. Anthony Hernandez says:

The most joy batteries ever brought me was through my white and red R/C formula race car back as a kid. Although the charge lasted only about 20 mins, that car was fast! My brother received an R/C monster truck and I would always ram it at top speed and send it flipping away since mine was so low to the ground and fast.

  29. MLB says:

Definitely my iphone. Considering I listen to about 5 hours of audio a day; music, podcasts, etc, I don’t know how I could keep my sanity without it.

  30. Daniel says:

“best battery powered item I ever owned?”
Had to be when I was 7 years old and really into Batman with Adam West.
Dad bought me a battery powered Batmobile, with flashing lights that he detailed
by had to make it look like the real Batmobile on TV. 😀

    Still own it today.

  31. Chris Spriggs says:

Honestly my best battery powered item was my oriinal GameBoy. It was the start of a long obssesion if pocketable gadgets.

My iPhone is the most useful device I have ever owned.

  34. Justin says:

My old powerbook…the one that converted me to this cult.

  36. Mattel LED Football II. I loved that game to death!

  44. Corey Quinn says:

From a parent’s perspective, I was gonna say it was the sound machine that lets helps my three month old fall asleep, but now I say it is my iPhone with Ambiance and all the noises it has. That phone can do ANYTHING!! (except burp and change diapers…there is no app for that)

  45. Frank says:

My Hot Wheels track that had the garage with the internal spinning wheels that would shoot the cars out as they came through. Provided hours of entertainment. Now, it’s my iPhone 3GS which provides entertainment, not hours of it though and that’s why I need the Juice Pack – then it will provide hours of entertainment.

  46. Bill says:

Other then my iPhone, my first portable cassette player-recorder (not a boom box). It was the iPod of it’s day.

Some little LED lights I made for a grim reaper halloween costume in college. They could blink and wink – very high tech for the late 70’s and because I had black hose over my face, they were the only visible eyes. Juice pack please!
