It’s like using a Blur song to announce the Oasis catalog
Anyone else think it’s ridiculous to use a Rolling Stones lyric to announce the Beatles coming to iTunes? I mean, the Beatles had a hit or two of their own… surely something they sang would have been applicable?
Could we be in for a surprise? Perhaps Apple is going to re-announce that they’ve had the Rolling Stones on iTunes for years…?
I actually have a different problem with Apple’s special event invite for today… namely, there hasn’t been anything CLOSE to a rock ‘n roll song on the top of iTunes’ chart in years. The invite should say “It’s only crap dance music and teen pop, but apparently you guys like it“.
Oh well. Only a couple more hours until we can all start complaining about today’s event.
what would really suck is if they announce a beatles catalog but not have it available today.
Well, if the deal doesn’t go through, they end up promoting someone who’s actually on iTunes

You’re right Doc… only crap music. But have you recently been outside in the REAL WORLD? Look at the ppl… and you will understand why there’s only crap ‘music’ on the top…
“That’s why I go for that rock and roll music.”
“It’s gotta be rock and roll music.”
