In May 2008 I was hit by a huge boxy Volvo while driving my Triumph Bonneville motorbike. I was hospitalized for 2 months and on sick leave until this January 1.
I’m walking again, but I wont have to run any marathons any more!
Cricket ball to the upper thigh.
I was riding my mountain bike, going down-hill, and standing up to avoid having a face full of tree branches (they were right at my riding head height). As I was riding I saw something move about two feet in front of my, so I hit my brakes. Now I’m standing trying to break with both sets of break pads, front and my significantly weaker rear breaks. The bike flips, an entire flip, and I’m about to land, so I hit the back break to slow myself down. Back wheel hits, brake kicks in fliping the bike forward onto its front wheel, and not know what to do I switch to my significantly stronger front brakes. the front wheel hits, and I still have a fair bit of momentum. The bike tries flipping again. This time I slide off half way through and land face first on this narrow dirt path, and Bam the bike lands on me. I skin bot fore-arms their whole length, and my palms, cracked a rib and almost popped my left knee cap loose, gave my self mild whiplash and a jaw injury of un-know severity that causes me pain to this day, four years after it happened.
Broke my hand knees and concussion and a lot of blood, shoulders broken in a skateboarding accident!!!
My worst injury was when I cut open my thumb cutting the branches off of a Christmas tree. It took 32 stitches to close it. Hey! At least I was using a handsaw!
myne is too terrible a memory to type. for me…. im sure you all would just pass it up like i did to all the ouchies. motorcycle accident. Severed 2 tendons in my right hand/ton of road rash/busted up both knees. got side swiped going 60+ on the freeway in vegas by a 17 YO princess that lost control of her car, started spinning around/ my head hit the hood of her car i blacked out for a second/woke up and was sliding down the freeway my head next to her front tire/ with my hand trapped under my bike/ the road making hamburger out of my right hand.
after 5 months of therapy I went out and bought a bigger bike. ha! that was four years ago.
BTW: my powerbook was in my backpack and probably saved my life/at least my back. and after it was banged up REALLY good, it still booted right up (thank god!) her insurance company went and bought me a brand new MBP. that was a nice perk.
I tore all the ligaments in my ankle….twice.

Last year I was riding my bike home and was hit and and run over my a truck. The truck ran over my hand. Nothing broke, but it was still the worst injury that I’ve ever had.
The worst accident was breaking my both arms while doing a skateboard trick. It was either that, or breaking my head. I need my head.
torn ACL/MCL/Meniscus
Probably the time i slid on little pebbles and knocked my knee into the corner of the sidewalk. Not a terrible injury compared to others here, but lots of blood. I consider myself lucky :].
dislocated shoulder multiple times. once it happens once, its pretty much a recurring theme throughout your life
fell off a moving truck while sitting on the edge of the flatbed. hit my head on the ground, went into multiple seizures. had to get airlifted to the hospital. don’t remember much. i remember laying on my back and my head/body entering a tube and then i blacked out again. turns out i had a concussion and the doctors did a MRI and/or a cat scan.

I am a medically retired prison worker. One day there was 3 inmates hopped up on Meth that took on 4 guards. I got my neck and shoulder tore up. I have had rotator cuff surgery and was as having 2 discs taken out of my neck. I still live every day in pain and have numbness in my fingers. BTW we did win the fight, but it was a close and scary one.
Falling out of a 15′ high tree house at 12yrs old. Rope hanging down out of the window with the dog on one end and me on the other. needless to say, the dog won. Ended up with 3 breaks in my left arm and a screwed up wrist.
I was 14..riding my bicycle..a muscle car roaring from behind…he was probably trying to play a prank on me to scare me by following me closely..well, prank gone wrong..hit me from behind and he sped away!!! i flipped in the air, landed on my lower back..trust me it wasn’t pretty!
Worst injury was from bruised tailbone in hockey. Then to top it off mine then became infected, open it drain it and heal. The healing was the most pain and was every minute\day for 8 weeks. You see it has to heal from the inside out, meaning broken open 2-3 times every day and stuffed with fresh gauze. Finally it never really full heals.
The worst injury that I’ve ever had was when the oldest Chinese woman I’ve ever seen decided that it would be fantastic to plow through a red light and into my parents’ car that I had borrowed for the evening.
I didn’t even realize it until my parents got to the accident location, but when she hit me I was making a left turn, so my head smashed into the driver’s side window and put a huge spiderweb crack through the window. It was then pointed out to me that I had blood gushing out of the left side of my head.
So I ended up having to go to the hospital to stitch the side of my head up and since no witnesses stayed, I had to go to court. It was stellar.

Jumped over a chair while running away from the Campus Security at my school and hit my head on the fire alarm above the door. Cracked it open at 3 am and had to get 12 staples.
Rolled a car 5 times. That’s what I was told, as I sure don’t remember it. But must be true as about a day and a half later I woke up in the hospital. Broken arm and concussion.
