epson workforce 635

It occurred to us this weekend that it had been a couple weeks since we last attempted to buy your readership by giving away free stuff, so we’re going to make up for that slip big time by giving away the super cool Epson WorkForce 635 All-in-One Printer. We’re currently in the process of reviewing it, and it’s pretty sweet, which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as it is the new version of the Workforce 610 which we reviewed last year and gave a 9.5 out of 10 rating.
So what’s new for 2011? Well, increased paper capacity to 250 sheets, 802.11n for a strong, unwavering signal, an updated control panel, and automatic 2-sided printing without the added bulk of a traditional duplexing unit. All this on top of the following best in class features:

Save time — with the world’s fastest all-in-one in both one- and two-sided printing
Speed through critical documents — ISO print speeds of 15 ISO ppm (black) and 7.2 ISO ppm (color), two-sided print speeds of 7.5 ISO ppm (black) and 4.5 ISO ppm (color)
Save paper — save up to 50% of your paper supply with automatic, two-sided printing
Print twice as much — get about 2x more prints with 127 Extra High-capacity Black ink cartridges
Individual ink cartridges — replace only the color you need
Less hassle — built-in 250-sheet paper tray means you re-load paper less often
Do more — 30-page Auto Document Feeder to quickly copy, scan or fax stacks of one- or two-sided originals
Easy wireless printing — built-in Easy Epson Wi-Fi makes wireless setup, networking and printing fast and easy
PC-Fax — fax documents directly from your computer
Front USB port — insert thumb drive and upload files directly to your PC
High-speed faxing in black and color — as fast as 3 sec per page; speed dial storage up to 60 numbers; fax memory up to 180 pages
Protect important documents — smudge, fade and water resistant prints; documents rival those from a laser printer
Save energy — uses up to 70% less power than laser printers
Product protection you can count on — one-year limited warranty; phone support, without charge, for the life of the product1; plus, get free templates and “How-to” tutorials
Quickly print from your mobile device — print photos, office documents and more, see www.epson.com/mobileprinting for details

Eco Features
Uses up to 70% less power than laser printers
Save up to 50% on paper with manual, two-sided printing
ENERGY STAR® qualified
RoHS compliant
Designed to be recycled

And so much more. Be sure to check back for our upcoming review, or just check out Epson’s Workforce 630 page if you can’t wait.

How to Enter: Man, whoever came up with the all-in-one idea was a genius. Most people print maybe 80 times a year, scan 20 times a year, and fax twice a decade, but Lord knows you don’t want to dedicate the desk space for all three of those stand alone units. So to enter this time, we’d like to know, Name some other devices that should be combined Personally I’d love to see a Bugatti Veyron/Apple TV/Roomba combo. Winner will be picked randomly on November 21, 2010. Open to US readers only. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein!

I’d love to see me some beer-brewing-bbq-smoker-HDTV’s for all your football watching needs.

ipad, canon dslr, flash, beats by dre, and google tv

  4. Wiseguy says:

We won’t know the winner for over a year?

In case I still need this by then, here’s my input:
    – iPad
    – refrigerator
    – egg cooker
    – Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer
    – banana holder

    (Sorry, I’m hungry right now.)

  5. Mark says:

Less plugs: cable box + modem + router. I think that’d save me half a power strip and several clunky boxes, and then when something fails terribly I can just point and go ‘argh, it’s that damn box!’ No more troubleshooting!

  6. Jos says:

    here is my sugestion:

    – imac (foundation)
    – HDTV (not so difficult, just a connector)
    – iphone (most exciting, multi-touch + make and recieve calls)

in other words, make your home phone, your tv and your mac a single unit 😉

(iphone/ipod could be used as a remote both controller and phone)

well it would look like an station where u can do anything we all do at home/office!

  7. Brian Beam says:

iPod + computer + phone… unless someone has already thought of that. 🙂

  8. The Captain says:

    Apple devices that should be combined;

    Apple Extreme Base Station
    Apple TV
Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server

Now you have one Hell of a multi-media network in one package that’s ready to
work with all your Apple gear.

  9. Andy says:

Well with all that heat coming from under the hood of just about any car, how about an expresso machine built into the dashboard? Why stop at Starbucks when you can drive right past and keep going while steaming milk for your Macchiato.

A croissant would go well with that coffee so why not throw in a, drum roll please, croissant easy bake oven. Who needs a glovebox anyway? Just reach in there and pull out a nice fresh croissant.

To keep the crumbs under control and off the floor mats, a hidden napkin dispenser goes in under the dash. A napkin also comes in handy if you need to blow your nose or clean off the inside of the windshield.

  10. st. says:

macbook and iPad hybrid with switching on to go

  11. Brandon says:

I think that we should combine bluray players, head lamps, and swiss cheese. Three amazing things, why not put them in one?!

  12. David says:

    Car, Submarine, Jet Plane, Spaceship

  13. SniderVX says:

Car, laptop, cookies, cereal, bowl, mousepad, and a flash drive.

    Oh, and earphones too.

Either that, or all Apple devices into the size of a gum pack.

  14. ArtOfWarfare says:

    Keys, iPhone, and Wallet

The things in my pocket, I’d like it if I had just one thing to remember in the morning.

  15. Kelly A says:

Iphone, credit card, keys to my house and car and office, and toll roads.

  16. Howard says:

Every customer loyalty card ever. My keychain would look great.

  17. Mike says:

car, helicopter, ipod for daily commute

  18. JimD says:

iPad and MacBook Air (or any laptop)

  19. Ken says:

    Keys and wallet.

  20. JimD says:

    iPad and office keys.

  21. David says:

A mature mind and a young body.

  22. Double U says:

A cozy lounge chair with build in waste disposer (yip, THAT kind of waste also – of course it has to be a japanese onsui senj? benza toilet, only the best for me!), a mini fridge and small teppanyaki cooking plate, a stylish fold out table and some small storage compartments (for utensils, glasses,…) and if there is still a way to power this baby some more, I’d love a massage surface and a powerplate option!

that would be a nice start with numerous variations possible to this design!

  23. Mark says:

Peanut butter and chocolate – oh wait all the good ones have been done!

  24. Ethan says:

    iPhone + Credit Card

    xbox + microwave + mini fridge. mmmmm…..good.

  26. ScottIJ says:

Things have converged so much, there is almost nothing left that I want to combine. That said, if the iphone could add an FM radio and a better camera I would be a happy man.

  27. Colin says:

car key + house key + hand

Preferably my car key, my house key and my hand…but you could use a hot girl’s hand too.

Blue Ray Player and a Mac… any Mac.

  29. Jeff says:

Phone, email client, web browser, game player, music listener, GPS navigator, encyclopedia, dictionary, alarm clock, movie and TV viewer, camera…
    Oh yeah, that’s my iPhone.

  30. Paul says:

Claudia Black and a draught beer dispenser (complete with a good selection of microbrew stouts, porters and IPAs)

  31. Aldo Johnson says:

A TV remote, metal detector, and vacuum cleaner. The metal detector is to look for change under the sofa cushions, and the vacuum cleaner is to clean the crumbs there.

  32. Paul says:

A crock pot, a microwave and a TARDIS. Dinner on time has never been easier.

  33. jdbaum says:

iPhone and eyeglasses (the only thing I always have with me, can’t be without) – HUD and augmented reality, phone, tunes, with a neural interface. Plus a death ray.

  34. Kegerator (already a sweet combo), Hot Tub, Speaker w/waterproof dock connector.

  35. Kevin Robert says:

It would be great to combine a iphone with a Full-HD D-SLR and Tivo all in one.

  36. Patrick says:

I’m definitely ready for the HDTV, BR, Cable Box, 360, Wii combo device so I can stop stringing so many damn wires!

  37. Andrea says:

i personally would like to see a iphone/money printer/vodka dispenser.

  38. apod says:

A remote control helicopter combined with anything (bottle opener, iPhone, you name it).

  39. Dlowe402 says:

I could go for a Bottle opener on my iPhone…Can’t make an App for that

  43. Gregg says:

    coffee maker
    Iphone
    home entertainment system

  44. Joe says:

My DSLR and my GPS. I have a logger for tagging my photos but it is such a pain in the arse to get all the photos tagged correctly. Cant Canon or Nikon just make it simple ?

  45. Brad says:

BBQ and beer (not really ‘devices’ but you have to admit how awesome BBQ flavored beer would be.)

  46. Gregg Overmeyer says:

I’d like a dock for all my iDevices and software to print directly from them, when docked.

  47. Sim says:

Keys (electronic), wallet (credit cards) and iPhone (everything else)

  48. Daniel says:

    Macenstein.com + More enticing giveaways
