It occurred to us this weekend that it had been a couple weeks since we last attempted to buy your readership by giving away free stuff, so we’re going to make up for that slip big time by giving away the super cool Epson WorkForce 635 All-in-One Printer. We’re currently in the process of reviewing it, and it’s pretty sweet, which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as it is the new version of the Workforce 610 which we reviewed last year and gave a 9.5 out of 10 rating.
So what’s new for 2011? Well, increased paper capacity to 250 sheets, 802.11n for a strong, unwavering signal, an updated control panel, and automatic 2-sided printing without the added bulk of a traditional duplexing unit. All this on top of the following best in class features:

Save time — with the world’s fastest all-in-one in both one- and two-sided printing
Speed through critical documents — ISO print speeds of 15 ISO ppm (black) and 7.2 ISO ppm (color), two-sided print speeds of 7.5 ISO ppm (black) and 4.5 ISO ppm (color)
Save paper — save up to 50% of your paper supply with automatic, two-sided printing
Print twice as much — get about 2x more prints with 127 Extra High-capacity Black ink cartridges
Individual ink cartridges — replace only the color you need
Less hassle — built-in 250-sheet paper tray means you re-load paper less often
Do more — 30-page Auto Document Feeder to quickly copy, scan or fax stacks of one- or two-sided originals
Easy wireless printing — built-in Easy Epson Wi-Fi makes wireless setup, networking and printing fast and easy
PC-Fax — fax documents directly from your computer
Front USB port — insert thumb drive and upload files directly to your PC
High-speed faxing in black and color — as fast as 3 sec per page; speed dial storage up to 60 numbers; fax memory up to 180 pages
Protect important documents — smudge, fade and water resistant prints; documents rival those from a laser printer
Save energy — uses up to 70% less power than laser printers
Product protection you can count on — one-year limited warranty; phone support, without charge, for the life of the product1; plus, get free templates and “How-to” tutorials
Quickly print from your mobile device — print photos, office documents and more, see www.epson.com/mobileprinting for details

Eco Features
Uses up to 70% less power than laser printers
Save up to 50% on paper with manual, two-sided printing
ENERGY STAR® qualified
RoHS compliant
Designed to be recycled

And so much more. Be sure to check back for our upcoming review, or just check out Epson’s Workforce 630 page if you can’t wait.

How to Enter: Man, whoever came up with the all-in-one idea was a genius. Most people print maybe 80 times a year, scan 20 times a year, and fax twice a decade, but Lord knows you don’t want to dedicate the desk space for all three of those stand alone units. So to enter this time, we’d like to know, Name some other devices that should be combined Personally I’d love to see a Bugatti Veyron/Apple TV/Roomba combo. Winner will be picked randomly on November 21, 2010. Open to US readers only. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein!

I would like something called “The Lady Killer.” This device would be an all in one device that can dispense mints, cologne, have a built in electric shaver, spot cleaner (when you make a mess on your clothes) and create pick up lines based on the type of girl you are trying to take home.

  41. Josh says:

Cell phone combined with car keys and house keys. I can always keep my house keys in the car, so I guess it is down to cell phone being able to open my car door. For security I guess you would have to use your voice to make sure no one jacks your car.
