Macenstein’s Mac Chick of the Month December 2011: Tara Babcock
Welcome to Macenstein‘s “Mac Chick of the Month”. Each month we feature a different die-hard, Mac-loving girl who is (almost) as well designed as the Apple products they love. This month we present you with the lovely Tara Babcock, a model, video game reviewer, and of course, a die-hard Mac Chick!
“My name is Tara Babcock and I am a 21 year old professional model and writer of gaming articles for Impulse Gamer’s Tara’s G-Spot section. In addition, I own a retouching company on the side called Tara Babcock Can Edit! where I edit photos, dabble in graphic design and CSS/HTML coding for clients! It’s only natural that I am a complete tech geek and gamer nerd!”
“Growing up, my household was a total Mac zone. My dad would fix broken Macs as a hobby and my family would constantly spend money on new Apple gear. Throughout my life, I have literally had more than three-dozen Apple laptops and towers and more iPods than I can count. I remember my family’s first Apple computer was in the 90’s right after I was born, way back when the Apple logo was rainbow colored! I was the only kid in school to have an iPod when it first debuted and no one knew what it was, but when they found out, I was the envy of my class. I actually had them stolen from my locker a few times! Even though I have had a vast amount of Macs, my favorite by far was my blue iMac “toilet seat” laptop! I used that thing until it could no longer handle any form of modern software, and I even had the matching tower, monitor, keyboard, and little circular mouse! Currently, my iPhone has a custom Tara Babcock skin! I was inspired by a fan who took one of my images and made one for his own iPhone! ”
“I love Apple because they are true innovators. They perfect every product they release and they create user-friendly, sleek, attractive and chic computers, music players and accessories. I’ve had both PCs and Macs throughout my tech-filled life, but there’s nothing quite like an Apple computer!”
“Aside from my experience with Apple, I spend most of my free time playing video games. I grew up a popular nerd, and even though I became a successful model, I don’t fit the stereotype! I love online, console and handheld gaming, anime, heavy metal music and… sex, of course! Why did I get into modeling? Aside from my other interests, going to the gym and perfecting my appearance and health is something I am most passionate about. To me, my body is like my cars (which I also love!), I work on it as a hobby! I am a perfectionist in every aspect, always trying to exceed expectations and soar above and beyond!”

The favorite bands list caught me off guard. It seems like Slipknot/Lamb Of God girls are normally a little more scary, definitely less sexy.
