Usually when I travel (and even more so now that I have kids) I end up buying a bunch of cheap, random, crappy souvenirs that I almost immediately throw out or put in a box when I get home, never to be seen again (with the notable exception of these 2-headed wolf neck pillows embroidered with the Canadian flag that my kids just HAD to have when we went to Niagara Falls. Seriously, they use them all the time).

And while I love wasting money, one thing I would never think to buy while vacationing in Turkey would be an iPhone 4S from a random hole-in-the-wall store for 500 €. But thankfully not only did this guy do just that –  he was also brave enough to admit his mistake and post this hilarious unboxing video when he got home. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but it turns out there was a very good reason he kept getting a “low battery” message on it. Enjoy.

“This man has a 32GB iPhone 4S he bought 500 € on a trip to Turkey. Oddly, once back home he wanted to turn his iPhone to it then displayed continually “Low Battery” (battery empty) on the screen. He then loaded his cell phone but after several hours of charging, the same message indicating a dead battery was then appear. He had therefore decided to dismantle its iPhone 4S and, surprise!”
