DragonVale: How to breed a Pearl Dragon
[EDIT: Looks like the “rare” Pearl Dragon egg seen below is actually the newly updated Pearl Dragon egg, so the original egg might actually turn out to be the “rare” one you can no longer get. Not sure why BackFlip Studios changed it midway through, but it looks like the Pearl Egg with the Pearl in it is the new egg]
PEARL DRAGON:
INCUBATION TIME: 30 Hours
BUY-IT Price: 1,475 GEMS
HOW TO BREED: Snow and Seaweed (Seasonal – can only be bred in the Month of June)
Interesting Fact: The Pearl Dragon is the only dragon I have seen so far that has TWO different types of eggs (scroll down). The hatched Pearl Dragons appear identical, however, so I am not sure the reason behind the difference.

The 3rd Egg (pinkish white) is the original DragonVale PEARL Dragon Egg
The Pearl Dragon egg apparently comes in TWO varieties (Egg 4 is the alternate egg). The dragons seem the same though.

Crystal and lichen got me a rainbow dragon after 5 tries, but i havent gotten a gemstone yet either.
I never got a pearl I tried 30 to 60 times
ikr it sucks, its really rare and i did the same thing as you… only just got one, but i missed the entire emerald dragon, and not a single rare dragon came with the crystal/lichen combo! really annoying, just keep trying and you should get it eventually.
What levels were your dragons to breed the pearl dragon?

Am I correct- you can only breed 2 gem dragons a month? The seaweed/snow does breed the pearl.

Because mister high and mighty, some people like myself have kids and lives put side of this game and only get to play said game once or twice a day. So they try to get the rare dragons but time eventually runs out and sometimes they don’t get it. On the last day of its availability they r faced with a decision… Jailbreak ur phone/cheat or live with out it. I jailbroke my phone… Tough decision cause it voids warranty but then my warranty was up anyway. I thought others might like a lil help too a it can b sooo frustrating to c that everyone else is getting the dragon with the same combo u r trying but try as u might for 3 weeks straight u never get it. As mr scribbles previously said if u don’t agree with our opinions so b it. That’s ur right but don’t harp on everyone else for asking for a lil help.
I got rainbow with crystal & iceberg in the first try.but did not get pearl dragon.

How did you get pearl
by breeding level ten snow and level ten seaweed in the normal breeding cave. really rare in the normal breeding cave though, its just luck that i got it!
Just got my pearl dragon which is a real pain 2 breed in da normal breeding cave. Tried many times & hopefully it’s da 1st of hopefully another 3 more. All I’ve gotta say is breed & breed & don’t give up. It’s a pain but if u realli wan it, u just hv 2 put up wit it.

I tried seaweed and snow in breeding cave and got 1 day and 6 hours waiting till its finished to see what it is any one got idea? 🙂

Mr.Scribbles is completely trustable and in other posts people were saying they want to play the game not cheat well i see that but if u hit him up u will uave sooo much more fun playing the game noing that u can speed it up and get it done. I love playing this game and I’ve been lucky enough to get every dragon possible. However… This Pearl Dragon is completely eluding me! I have been trying to breed snow & seaweed in both the regular breeding cave and the epic one over 75 times! No pearl! So strange. I got 2 emeralds last month. Is there anyone else whose struggling to get pearl as well? I’ve already spent $25 to get the gems to breed faster. I can’t afford to keep buying more and I’m afraid to jailbreak my device. Ugh!!! Very frustrating:-(

I myself am having this same issue. I bred 2 Emeralds also last month. I cannot tell you how many times I have bred seaweed and snow, snow and seaweed..it’s weird how difficult this one if for me. Just gotta keep trying and hope for the best.

Hi! I’m having the same trouble! I have two emeralds and have been trying constantly to get a pearl! I didn’t get an emerald until the last available day, and then ended up getting two emeralds breeding at a time! Struggling with the pearl. Perhaps people who have two emeralds have more trouble getting pearls?? Anyways, I just added you. I will give you gems daily ????

sorry to say but why would you need to log in asking for a email and pass sounds like a scammer i would love some gems to speeds things up but how can i be sure to trust you ?

I’m assuming he jailbroke his iPhone and has an App cracker installed which lets you hack many different games, including DragonVale. If they are legit, they are logging out of their iPhone as themselves, logging in as YOU with your username and password, using their cracked app to give you a ton of gems, then re-logging back in as themselves. The next time you log in on your phone your account would show the hacked gems and food or whatever they added to your account.
At least that’s what I am assuming. I still think if you do that you might as well not play the game though… and I still don’t like the idea of giving out personal info to any stranger, no matter how noble their goals. You could easily jailbreak your iPhone yourself in 20 minutes.

Ok, I’ve been trying the snow and seaweed combo since day 1, with both the EBI and the breeding cave at the same time, averaging 7+ times a day for both combined and still no pearl dragon. What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to breed with seaweed in slot 1 and snow in slot 2? Or the other way around? It’s seriously being to annoy me, Even the gemstone dragon was easier than this!
Finally got the pearl egg! Soo happy! Took a lot of tries, I have 2 snows and 2 seaweeds so was using both my epic and normal breeding cave. So happy I got it 🙂

Because I can only get gems from my device in my dragonvale… Works with a few other games too but there isn’t a way to go to a friends page and get it for them. Jail breaking my phone only made it to where I don’t have to pay for in ap purchases like gems, food and treats. It doesn’t change how the game operates u kno? So here’s what I suggest u do to prove that I couldn’t just visit ur page and do it that way… And anyone else who thinks I can… Go to ur dragonvale, visit a friend. Now tap the amount of gems they have… If I could do it that way- the gems store would pop up, like it does when u touch it from ur home… However it doesn’t.
If u send me ur info I’ll take care of it, but if not I understand it’s scary sending that stuff to ppl not knowing what could happen. I’ve helped a few others and they all seemed happy even went so far as to email me back with 2 & 3 more ppl to help. Mr scribbles helps more ppl then I do cause more ppl message him I guess. But I do help every person that does, it might just take me a min cause I have a 5 month old and she isn’t always the most cooperative.

Go to jailbreakme.com from ur device. Follow the instructions. After that u need to go into cydia and download iapfree and add a source… http://apt.xsellize.com/ and u r good to go
Ugh I keep trying to breed the pearl dragon but I want the epic breeding island to make it easier! Please add me- devilfox9. I need enough gems to buy the breeding island! If you add me I will try to give all of u a gem every day. Then I will try to save up for the dragon gem tree (sorry I don’t know to name of it). But the bottom line is, I need some major gems. O I c. Cause on June 1st, until like noon or so the emerald dragon was still available… They were lucky enough to get it and the pearl on that day.

woohoo! just got a pearl, 30 hours incubating in nursery! cant wait till it hatches!
all i know is i have the epic breeding pit and the normal one and ive had a snow/seaweed going in them since june 1 and i got an 8 hour dragon 3 times a day every day since this began…thats over 20 iceberg dragons, all i ever get is iceberg dragon. even in the epic breeding pit.
it was the same bullshit with the emerald i tried all month couldnt get it, and never got a sun or moon or rainbow either like everyone else keeps saying.
im level 22 and most people at my level have at least one of each sun moon rainbow and i have none…..
