My son was desperate because he could not get the Ruby dragon and it was getting toward the end of the month, I told him to have in his firs island, the one he has his bc all the habitats and a volcano and voila! he got his first Ruby and now the second on his way. I have two already and my third on its way! It could be just a coincidence yet it worked for both of us.

I got my first ruby by breeding chrome and scorch (both level 10) and accidentally, exited the game before I could see the breeding time. When I got back on the game, it found I had a 31 hour breeding time.
My second attempt, i did it again with chrome and scorch but this time I exited the game. To my surprise, I got another 31 hour breeding time.
This could be coinsidence only. I’m just sharing… 🙂

FINALLY got it on my 89th try in the epic breeding island both lvl. 10. Along the way I got a rainbow and a gold and toooo many fireworks but I got the ruby before July ends!!! Yay!!!

I’ve tried breeding chrome and scorch both as level 10 adults MANY times, both as babies a few times, chrome as baby and scorch as adult, vise versa, I put all the habitats in the same island as suggested above, and I’ve been doing this in both the BC and EBI ALL MONTH! AND NO RUBY! I know I’m not the only one but come on! This is rediculous. My 2 friends got them within a week! They just did chrome and scorch. They didn’t even use both the island and cave! UGH!!!
Got it first try!
This is stupid. I’m level 33, have a level ten chrome and level fifteen scorch, been breeding them all month, put both in the fountain of youth, tried at nine am, put them in epic and regular breeding cave. While at the same time breeding level fifteen blazing and level ten crystal, both in epic and regular breeding cave. There are two days left and I have nothing to show for it. I’ve been saving gems to upgrade my breeding caves and get the gemsai tree, but now I just had to waste sixty gems to get this dragon and still got nothing. I’ve basically tried everything. I now have a twenty-four hour wait with chrome and scorch which is going to be a uselessly crystal and I don’t want to throw my gems away.
Everybody has different combos to get a dragon.
Chrome and scorch cannot be crystal it is a forge.
I was told that chrome must be higher or equal level, not the scorch.
Change your bc to a different island, and breed again.
Finally got a ruby whith chrome and scorch!!!!!! I’m so thrilled can’t wait to put it in its habitat

I bread Crome and scorch for the first time and the breeding time says 48 hrs?!! Wonder what it could be??!!!!!;)
Sure it could be gold or rainbow! Only those two come from the combination!
I switch the combination Scorch (L) and Chrome (R) ^^ i think i got it on my 3 or 4 try…i really had some problems with the first gem dragon ><; so luck is also something you need…but switching the combination might give it a better shot…it's not the first time i got it right away after switching combination.
Just got my first ruby right now! Ahhh I was about breed something else but then I was like I’ll give one last try…been trying for 3 weeks! Finally I got it on the ebc with both level ten chrome and scorch (: I got a rainbow and 2 gold dragons my 3rd one is incubating right now 😀 now going for the Olympus dragons!
I have four of these now. I was trying to get the Gold dragon but I kept ending up with Ruby. I guess that’s nothing to complain about, but still.
How I need one I am called ruby so I want one 🙂

I have been trying all month with no luck….so I decided to save up and get the epic breeding island! And when I got the island I tried one last time to breed the chrome dragon and snap dragon an finally got it! I probably tried about 150 times! Glad that I got the ruby dragon on the last day!
100+ tries and nothing… This may be the first seasonal dragon I don’t get since I have played…

Well ate it and let dragonvale win. Bought 125 gems and got it after using 100. I have gotten 30-40 firework, copper, chrome, forge and 2 rainbows trying. I’m a month behind since I h ent bred anything, but oh well, I’m an addict and had a small victory!

Just did the exit out trick and went back in got 31hr time. Epic last minute lol
I tried all month, breeding dragons on both the epic island and regular breeding cave, sometimes three times a day. I never did get he ruby dragon. 🙁

Tried every single day, ALL MONTH long and I never got. Tried switching up dragons, tried using dragons from the fountain of youth, nothing. I haven’t gotten an emerald OR pearl dragon either. Hopefully I get lucky this month 🙁
