No real explanation needed here, other than Epic Rap Battles of History likes to pit two historical figures up against each other and let users vote on who wins the rap battle. While I find this amusing and well-produced, given that Steve is dead and Gates hasn’t run Microsoft for awhile, this battle feels a little out of place, as this “rivalry” was really more of a 1998-ish thing, despite all the iPhone/iPad/xBox stuff mentioned. I feel like an Apple/Google battle would be more “now” (but then again, it IS called Epic Rap Battles of HISTORY). Personally I feel, as with all rap battles, both Gates AND Jobs come off looking like losers, but still, nice job.
