Best pairing and got first time salamander and scoria.
I bred a brass and a plant dragon and got 48 hr breeding time. Maybe gold?? It has a decent chance, according to a dragon calc.
I got it first try with plant on left and plant on right

Will chrome and scorch work to get a gold dragon??

Yes! I just got it first try! Chrome and scorch ,both on level 10 in the normal breeding cave
Hey guys, I wasn’t even trying for one and I got it! I breed Rust and Firefly on the EBI. Rust lvl 10 and Firefly lvl 11. Btw, the guy that was saying I have something 48hrs, you probably have a gold. 🙂

Same here I bred both lvl 13 and got electrum and gold in a row by accident
I got the gold dragon first try with level 9 brass and light. 🙂
I got mine by total accident with metal and lava, needless to say I need to save up for the habitat now, but I’m happy all the same 🙂
got a double rainbow dragon, gold, silver, geode, shimmer, peridot, and rainbow with EBI rainbow and prism dragons both lvl 10
Got this on the second try using magnetic (level 11) and poison (level 11) in that order on EBI
Hey Macenstein, I see where dragonvale is offering island themes… It’s on a word from the wizard, yet when I go to the market I don’t see them offered. Do you or anyone else know where or how one can get the island themes?? Thanks
They are in the ISLAND section for me, and then they turn up in the SOCIAL section for some reason.

Seems like there are a lot of different combinations to get gold.
I’ll stick to macensteinz four suggested combos for now.

I bred the gold dragon with a zombie dragon witch is an apocalypse dragon and and spring dragon witch is a seasonal dragon hopes this helps for you higher up players. P.s sry I know these dragons are a pain to get

I am trying to get a delirium using dream and hypnotic but I got one of these instead!
I got it with a double rainbow and an air, and it wasn’t even in the epic breeding island!
I was trying to breed the Ruby dragon in the Epic Breeding Island using Chrome and Scorch (Both lvl. 13) and on my first attempt I got the Electrum Dragon and on my second attempt I got the gold dragon. Both in a row so that one worked for me.
I got it with rainbow and fire in cooperative breeding

I bred a silver Olympus and a double rainbow (both lvl 10) in the breeding cave and got 48 hours. What dragon is it?
You either got a: moon, sun, seasonal, lunar eclipse, rainbow or gold. Good job buddy!
Or got an Equinox dragon
If you want a bronze breed a metal and tree
If you want a silver breed a metal and evergreen
Treasure dragons have to have a metal dragon first then any other dragon
I got mine using lightning and brass
I got this as a fail trying to breed the Ironwood Dragon using Plant and Brass. Apparently as long as there’s fire and metal in there somewhere, nothing else matters.
Got it with glass and forge! As a fail for Bismuth.

Got gold on my first try with fire and forge
I wanted a forge dragon, bred fire (lvl 12) and metal (lvl 7) and got a gold! Pretty dissapointed tbh, i really wanted that forge:( (jokes)
Glass and Forge also work, same as a Bismuth Dragon

I got it simply by breeding metal and fire in comunity breeding w/ the great nogard (metal dragon lvl. 7)
I got a gold dragon while going after a silver dragon: Level 11 Blue Fire and a Level 11 Metal on the epic breeding island…
Bred a level 14 blue fire and tree together, and got a dragon with 58 hours, and couldn’t find a dragon with that number.
What the heck?
I just started breeding a Leap Year dragon and an Electrum dragon. The breeding time is 2 days and 6 hours. Is that a good sign? Please respond
I got it while trying random combinations to see what I would get and I used my dusk dragon and my leap year dragon and bam gold dragon!
I tried brass and flower and got an incubation time of 24 hours. it doesn’t match anything I would expect. Does anyone know what I might get?
On EBI and both level 11
I got 48hrs with dawn x rainbow dragons… Maybe gold. I’m hoping sun or moon tho maybe even Equinox
