Hey ppl, does anybody know wut this breeding time is? I got a 46h time with Earth and Metal, what is it?
Just found out that it’s actually a bronze dragon! That’s good, except the habitat costs 5,000,000 coins. 🙁 or :)?

You could sell it but that might be insane for a first bronze sure the habitat IS 5000000 but its a treasure dragon!!! It connotates bragging rights. I am also getting a first time treasure dragon I got the habitat and am waiting for the breeding to finish (Its a silver) (thanks Macenstein’s https://macenstein.com/2012/05/list-of-dragonvale-dragon-incubation-and-breeding-times/ ) just have fun and enjoy the park. Oh and you better start saving up for the habitat!

Why did they change the name?
Probably because ‘slag dragon’ had connotations other than that of it’s real industrial meaning….
Which is a shame because that’s the only reason I bred mine 😀

Got with earth and metal. First try
how do i add people on the game? a few times people i dont know have sent me gems but i don’t know how to send them gems back.
If they’re sending you gems, you are on the Friends list. You can click on the Friends icon lower right corner of your Dragonvale site. Click on it, and you’ll see the names of your friends and how many Free Gifts (gems) you have to give away that day. Click on Free Gifts on the line with their name.
It’s usually three Gifts, unless you have the gem tree then it is six.
The gems come from Dragonvale, not from your cache of gems, unless you have a gem tree, then they disappear from your tree as you send them.
I only have three Gifts to give, but I can’t give anyone a gem every day. It makes me wait at least two days, I think.
If the gem givers don’t appear on your Friends list, this is how to add them: Go to Game Center. There you can invite them by typing in their game name. You can type a note in the box explaining you’d like them to be a friend on Dragonvale. You can thank them for sending you gems.
My policy is to wait until a new friend sends me a gem, then I immediately send one to them. Too many times, I’ve immediately sent a gem and never had one returned. If I have gems left over, I sometimes give them to a beginner who has no gems or a small number. I accidentally lost all my gems when I first started this game.
Most of the “friends” on my list will not send me gems. HOWEVER, you earn Dragon coins by going to their sites and clicking on Party Hats. These are pointed white hates with pastel colored dots on them, and they appear in the square with the point that pops up with the treasure chest inside when coins begin to build up in them. I’m at level 20, and I get 4,000 coins every time I click on one. Be sure and check the gem islands, too.

if you are always looking for a friend in gamecenter to interchange gems and you add one but he only gives you gems for a few time and then you have to look for another one. Well, I am one of those people. I have been playing for almost a year!!!! and I haven’t find yet a group of people that will be allow to make this trading everyday. I’ll send you an invitation. However, the game does not allow a person to send a gem every day to the same person. I have grandchildren who play this with me, and I can’t send them a gem every day.
I could use a consistent friend, too. If you want to try me, add Kahua21 at Gamecenter. But remember that I only have six gems to send, so I don’t want a flood of requests.
I don’t understand why they changed the name…what is scoria?

I was trying to go for an iron dragon and was shocked to get the 22 hour breed time, so came here to look up what it could be – pretty sure it has to be the slag! Which I guess isn’t awful since I don’t have one yet, but the extra hour stuck waiting for the breed cave to be free again kind of suck. I was hoping to breed a fast dragon and get enough xp to move to the next level. I guess patience really is a virtue with this game haha
Also you should be able to send gems to the same people every 24 hours – I do and my three other friends do. However at first I wasn’t able to and my friend had trouble as well until she figured out that if every 24 hour you turn your iPad completely off (not just to sleep) then you should be able to send them, just make sure it’s been 24 hrs since your last send. It’s worked for me 100 percent of the time since I’ve been doing it. Not sure if the gem tree lets you send to the same people or not – none of us has one of those yet, but this trick works with the set of 3 gems you get from backflip to share everyday.

I tried mud & metal 4X in EPI and iron & seaweed 4X in EPI.. Finally tried mud and metal again in EPI got 6 hrs and in regular breeding cave moss and iron and got it… I got two Rainbows with mud and iron in the EPI trying to get this dragon..

Why does everyone do a multiple type dragon combination? It says fire and earth. So do fire and earth! I got it first try. I don’t why people just combine what it says.

Guys just spam earth and metal. After about 3 or 4 irons you get this dragon. Irons are the best money per hour of incubation eggs, along with magnetic. You an exchange 8 gems for over a million coins which is a bargain. It’s worth getting and selling irons. These annoy me so much because I used to breed for money and then I’d get a 22 hour one. Oh by the way storm and cold is perfect for moon/sun dragons especially if you do them at night like in the uk I bred a moon dragon at00:40 yay my second. Blue moon is coming in 10 days aug 21st woot

I was going for the bearded dragon, since it’s the BRING THEM BACK EVENT, so I bred mountain and metal together. To my surprise, I got the scoria! That was good bc I didn’t have one yet, and I don’t have room I my incubation thing Just another combo for you all to try.
