Hey Lammaz! I always give a couple days after I gift to get a gem back because I know when your list is hugh it takes some time to get a gem back. I had over 200 friends on my list and I was having trouble keeping up. I keep a list of friends that gift and recently I weeded out friends that have not ever gifted me even after I did so. My list is now much smaller and dedicated to my devoted gifters. I know that you accepted my friend request on 8/29 and I will be sending you a gem today or tomorrow; I give you my word.

Itc can’t be, because the Peridot had the Crystal Dragon in the breeding combo, so they wouldn’t use it over again!
Emerald was crystal and lichen so your theory is wrong. They can definitely use crystal again for sapphire
Crystal is actually a main dragon for lots of the “special” dragons, so it could very well be used in this combo.

Why has this dragon not been released yet when it is 8:30pm on September 1st?
I have the same thing. I tried reloading the game and restarting my phone, but that didn’t work. I emailed backflip; let’s see what they say….
Backflip studios is in Colorado so wherever you are you will have to wait until they release it in mountain time zone
No they wait until it’s September everywhere in the world and then they release it. I live in California which is at least 1 hour behind and I still didn’t have the sapphire dragon in the market at midnight…or 1 am…or 2 am.

happened after the update. i had to sign back into gamecenter and facebook to reclaim my friends. good luck:)
How do I sign out or in on game center?
Never mind figured it out but it did not help. I have restarted both iPad and phone no luck! Help
Had same problem. I opened game center, and launched game from there and it finally loaded successfully (prior to this i deleted game and reinstalled , which did nit fix issue).
Go to “options” in DragonVale (icon beside friends). Click on FAQ. Scroll down till you find instructions. You either force quit the game, or do a full-on uninstall plus. I had to go the latter.
I was scared that I would lose everything, but it worked!
You have to run the update for Dragonvale and they’ll come back

Hey Leann and Others! I had the same problem Thursday and Friday. I force closed DV (see Force Close under settings FAQ in DV) then I went to Apple App Store and saw there was an update. I downloaded the update and BINGO the list came back. Hope this helps DV Friends!

NO I dont think that will be a possible combo because the dragon is available at level 14 and you dont get metal open to you until level 17 and rust has metal in it 🙂
I tried blue fire + metal 12 times and got 11 steel and 1gold then I tried metal and lichen and got it first go.
You did metal and lichen and got sapphire? I know you can get silver with that combo.

I can’t gift anyone as the game quits every time I press the friends icon it has been going on for 2 days. Has anyone else had this problem and got any advice on fixing it. I have emailed Backflips but no answer yet. Sorry to my friends I will gift as soon as possible!!:(
Same thing has been happening to me since I updated to the newest version, I haven’t found a fix yet :(.
Hey Estrid87, Ali904 and others with friend list and game quit problems!
On Thursday my friend list disappeared in DV (not in GC). So I read, on BFS FAQ in DV, to force close DV (see instructions on the FAQ list). After performing force close, I went to Apple App Store and downloaded the latest upgrade. After I completed both recommendations my list reappeared. Now when I get into the list the game quits on me – ERRRR! What the heck?!? I noticed that the update now includes players GC picture at the beginning of their name. Maybe these pictures are too much data for DV to handle and WHAM – game quits. Sent message to BFS. Has anyone else seen this? If so, have you sent a message to BFS and did they explain the glitch? SO FRUSTRATING ????!
You have to reboot your device. It worked for me after that. Hold home button and sleep button until it turns off and the apple logo comes on.

I did until I updated my iPad. Try that unless you already have the latest version, 5.1.1 I think.

Hey Zeiker! YES YES YES! See my reply post to Estrid87 and Ali904. I am so frustrated with BFS. Send a message to BFS support team ( find their email under FAQ in Dragonvale Settings. Let me know if you hear of any fixes and I will do the same.

Tried Crystal and Rain, however it gives me an Olympus Dragon instead.
So I tried your combo to see if I could get an Olympus since I don’t have them all. And got gold olypmpus on the first try. So Thank you! Been trying other combos that haven’t worked.

Mac, try scorch and rust, other websites have figured it out.
The dragon is available at level 14 rust has metal in it and is only availble at level 17 so your websites are not reliable. Especially if you’re going to wikipedia lol they have thousands of posters who post ridiculous things and no one to keep the mis information in check. Macenstein is the ONLY reliable website I have found that is consistently accurate with its information.
I’m GUESSING since sapphires and rubies are formed the exact same way (corundum- traces of chrome and iron and other metals) that a metal hybrid is a part (chrome or iron is my first guess) of th breeding. And they are mostly formed igneously in crystals, so I’d say an earth hybrid (crystal) but they are also found in metamorphic rocks (lava-also an earth) and in sedimentary rocks (so maybe mud dragon or a water hybrid). If an iron dragon (metal/earth) is involved than I’d lean away from an earth hybrid as the other dragon. Who really knows though, cuz Dragonvale doesn’t necessarily go by what you’d think (like snow for a pearl dragon when snow has nothing to do with pearls, lol.). Just guesses.
