This is my birthstone too! Next month is going to be an Opal dragon I believe.
Opal is October birthstone. Wonder if they will use a black opal or a white opal maybe a Mexican fire opal!

Ali1904, After I added you as a friend the same thing happened to me so I am unable to gem you either. Hope they fix soon, reinstalling game does not fix problem!
My birthday is in November too. Cant wait for November gem dragon! And I think october is either tourmaline or opal.

God, everyone knows that Decembers birthstone is the best, it was so good they had to name a colour after it! Btw, for those who have small cranial capacity, Decembers birthstone is called turquoise

Got one on day two! Feeling lucky! I always eventually get three but never until 10th or 11th of the month do I get the first one. Hopefully I can get another pretty quick. Level 15 rain and mountain. Both went through Fountain of Youth and in the cave where I get all my rares. I never he them on the island.
Same, he only rares I’ve got on te EBI is the gold dragon and silver dragon
I haven’t tried yet I am going to now though. Is the sapphire dragon a particularly hard dragon to get like the peridot or will it take a large number of tries to create one?
Wow, feeling insanely lucky! I just had the EBI going for sapphire (trying to get silver in bc) and my first try was a rainbow, my second was a sapphire! So glad to get it out of the way! 🙂
So happy! Got it the 2nd try! Used rain (fountain of youth) and mountain on the EBI.

Nope, not as far as I know. but rain is super easy.
Air and water. You might get some fogs, but it isn’t difficult.

I’m very annoyed. I got my second rainbow breeding with my rain and mountain and a silver breeding on my EBI soo need some gems but I only have 10. 🙁 add me at Kool Hippo and gem me please I will gift back the first 6 people that give me a gem
Oh and October is opal. If you type future gemstone dragons in gOogle you can find a list of all the gem dragons for the whole year.
And if you go on google and type future gemstone dragons for dragonvale it has a list for all the months. October is opal

After breeding Rain and Mountain for the nth time, I got 39 hours (1 day and 15 hours) on the upgraded breeding cave. What’s this? I am over by 9 hours on the Sapphire..boo! Will have to try again and again… 😛
Rainbow probably. I’ve tried rain and mountain 9 times and bred 2 rainbows before finally getting a sapphire. So much easier than the Peridot breeding process.
Yup, it was a Rainbow dragon. I tried again and finally got my Sapphire. 🙂 Patience is indeed a virtue (even for a game..lol).

I really want to get the sapphire dragon. I have tried 3 times with out using gems to speed the breeding time. Do I need to use speed breeding to get the dragon, or can I just go slow and steady? Should I keep trying even though I only tried 3 times?

48 hours is a Rainbow. 30 hours is the incubation time for Sapphire.
Tryed 10 times still no sapphire
Just keep trying to get it I got a 5 hour duration with my ruby and I was so surprised when I seen the egg!

Got in on the second try using rain and mountain normal breeding cave :)) after getting ice on é first try, I tried changing the phone time like what my friend told me to change to and I got 30h immediately ^^ over the moon now cause I tried peridot for 20 plus days last month and still didn’t get it.. Is it the time problem? Or is it just luck ? Whatever it is, I still got the sapphire :)))
When you changed the phone time, what did you change it to? And I’m assuming you tried breeding right after changing the time, correct? I heard there was a trick like this that helped with some dragons, but couldn’t find much info. Thanks!
