This dragon is really starting to frustrate me, I’ve never had so much trouble trying to get a dragon.

Learned this from another user: use new lava and new mud, raise to level 10 and breed. Got it first try. These things never work for me, but this one did. Add me: nielerinlenhard
Raise new mud lv 10. Raise new lava lv 10. Breed in standard breeding cave. Equals….OPAL!!!!!!! Yahoo! Thanks for the tip Niel……

I have tried to breed lava and mud aproximately one hundred times. Not one opal dragon. Then my son finds my iPad and spends my 500+ gems. Now i get opal on first try. Not the first time this happened, i could only get saphire last month when I had spent all my gems. This looks really suspisious in my mind. I bet the developers have made the program so that you have to spend what you bought before you can get the rare dragons.
Finally got one. I too have been trying at least twice a day since the beginning of the month for the opal dragon. Just want to let you all know that it is possible, I was starting to lose hope.
I would appreciate it if someone loyal add me as a friend, so far this gem for gem favour hasn’t been returned.

Finally got it.I have been trying every day since the beginning of the month.But someone got it very beginning of the month.

My advice? Don’t change up the lava and mud combo just do lava and mud. The farther you get into the month the better chance you have at getting it! Good luck
Has it ever happened that you simply CAN’T breed a certain dragon? I’ve been trying for opal since day one in both breeding habitats with various sets of lava and mud, but still no opal. So frustrated.
nope, you can get them all as long as you’re on a high enough level. Just keep trying. I used Lava and Mud. Took me soooo many tries.
I FINALLY GOT AN OPAL DRAGON! TOOK FOREVER. I have been trying every single day of the month so far…now to see if I can get one more before the end of the month…

I’ve tried at least 40 times this month. Lava (left) and Mud (right) both level 10 and I’ve gotten Mud, bones and lava. Add me if you’d like carebear179. 🙂
Only forty? I’ve tried about 80, and still no luck! If I don’t get this darn dragon I’m gonna put my head through the wall!!! I’m sooooooooooo tired of wasting time breeding these dragons when I’m getting nothing out of breeding but pain, misery, and about $5000. When will it ever end?!?!?!?

Got 2 new dragons the opsidian dragon with mud and lava, also got 3rd opal. Just can’t get that darn silver no matter how many time I try.
I’ve done it!!!!! After constant breeding every day since the first of the month! Lave and mud out of nursery, feed to lvl 10 and bingo! I think it’s the only way!

I am going crazy. I tried at least twelve times. Since Wednesday. My first try earned me a Bone dragon. My next 7 tries earned me mud, my next three got me Lava, and my twelfth earned

I tried for an Opal for the first time today and got it on the second attempt. Considering its October 28th I would assume that monthly dragons such as this become more available towards the end of the month. Makes sense as players will rush and even spend money on gems in order to acquire it as quickly as possible, giving the developers almost a month of solid income until they release it towards the end…

I had been trying since day one too, but I just got my first one last night when I used a new level 10 lava and new level 10 mud after midnight. Give that a try! Good luck!!

I got the opal dragon the first time…
I seemed to have pretty good luck until the opal. No luck after 50+ attempts. Good news is I finally got a gem tree. Can start trading tomorrow. No friends yet so first six to add me will get reliable daily g4g trades.

I have got an opal egg with a lava level 10 and mud level 10 i made it jounger in THE Fontaine i just tryed fur dun THE Same dragons and jess 31 hours so annother Opal i have Bin trying al month so thank god i get finaly a opaal dragon so i can breed them together so i can get more Allah’s trying to get two of any kind dragon so you Always breed more .oh happy day oh happy day for me. Got 2 so far and just got another one with level 15 LAVA Left and level 15 MUD Right. Keep on trying. **NOTE, more chances if you UPGRADE your breeding cave/inland. And don’t stress too much.. Try breeding other dragons and come back to it. Its work for me. 🙂 Good Luck everyone!

Woohoo! I was honestly giving up on this one but just now got two on the way! I have both lava and mud on EBI and BC right now:) so happy, don’t give up guys I have a theory that near the end of the month these guys become more available.!!!

My luck with dragons the last 3 days has been amazing. First the Moon Dragon, then Gold Olympus, now Opal!
