The 1st Egg is the Dragonvale Cyclops Dragon Egg
This game is pissing me off. The creators are greedy. I have bred a swamp and magnetic and all other combinations over 100 times. Honestly over 100. NOTHING. F THIS GAME
It did the same to me for the longest time. The only rare dragon I was able to breed was a moon dragon – this despite buying a breeding cave ( this was before the cave upgrade was available). What I did was delete the app. A few months later I stumbled across it again on itunes and reinstalled it. It had saved my last game and I was suddenly able to get sun, rainbow – all sorts of dragons. I think it’s set to only give you so many higher level dragons so you’ll keep playing.
It’s just luck, not the game being greedy. I’ve had relatively good luck in this game, getting rare dragons within the first couple of tries but there have been a couple I’ve gotten stuck on. The pearl, cyclops and seasonal took me hundreds of tries each. If you get frustrated and give up, that’s your loss. I’ve played a lot of iOS games and this one has been one of the best. Gems are far more obtainable and cheaper to buy than most games. They keep the updates coming and obviously put a lot of effort into the game itself. It’s definitely not just about money for BFS. They’re proud of what they’ve accomplished with dragonvale and they listen to their fans. As a result most of the dragonvale community is decent with very few immature cry babies. Of course there’s always the exception isn’t there….
Totally agree. I didn’t have the pearl, the equinox or the paper the first time round, and then they released all the dragons again for a month or so, and I got them then!!! It is the luck of the draw. Frustrating at times, like I still can’t breed the Golden Olympic and I lost out on the Apocalypse but generally I got all the other gems in a few tries!
That’s funny cause I got the golden Olympic but can’t get the silver olympic lol fortunately at the moment I am only missing the Celtic, spring and diamond. I hope to try again for the Celtic next year
I got all legendary dragons in a few tries. Only took combinations with the storm dragon.
I’m level 23 and the rare dragons I have are hold, moon, sun, silver Olympus, Anthemyst and that’s it. I still want the rainbow seasonal or cyclops. It’s just luck. It takes A LOT of patience!

That is considered a highly offensive word to many. It makes you appear extremely rude and ignorant I suggest you consider it very carefully before you use it again.
Plus it came from someone who doesn’t know the difference between your and you’re. Kind of loses the effect.

Happens when u reach a certain level. There is nothing else to get. I passed that a bit ago too.

Love and Quicksilver in EBI finally worked for me!
I tried that on the upgraded breading island and I got 1:15:11:54. Could that be cyclops?
No cyclops takes 33 hours. Not 40 you do have a legendary though.
Still working on this one. Have blizzard, amethyst, and century!!!
Cyclops and rose continue to elude me.
Try Pollen and Flower for Rose, got it 1st try. I’m finding Century very hard to get.
I was lucky, I have 3 century dragons, all bred using my Lv 6 Glacier dragon and Lv 7 Sandstorm dragon. Got a Blizzard with this combo at 15.33 hours GMT and my 2nd Century at 20.10 hrs GMT the same day . Have been successful in breeding 2 Rose dragons with the same Lv 12 Flower and Lv 6 Blazing dragons, one at 11.30am GMT and the 2nd at 6.19am GMT. So far have one Cyclops from Lv 12 Ash & Lv 15 Quicksilver. Still trying for number 2 .Some dragons still elude me but II love Dragonvale 🙂

Well, keep putting up combinations – I finally got my century dragon at long last so I’m back on working on this one in both cave and on island. I just bred the love and quicksilver on my EBI and I got a day, fifteen hours – any ideas what that could be? It can’t be the one I was going for. It better not be a rainbow, sun or moon because I got too many of those already =(
It was an amethyst. I also got two coppers and a forge hatching through this combo so I guess I’m done breeding for 19 or so hours. I don’t think I’m getting this anytime soon.
Amethyst can only be bred using hail and sonic so getting one with love and quicksilver isn’t possible. Also amethyst is 1 day 4 hours not 1 day 15.
The egg it produced is an amethyst egg. I don’t know – talk to the developers of the game.
Oh, you’re right – I just forced hatched it and it’s a platimum egg. Which is an egg I don’t need because I already have. Aaaggg – what does it take to breed a cyclops dragon in this game.
I got Platinum 49 hours using Swamp and Magnetic while trying to get Cyclops
I cant seem to get the platinum dragon. Ive tried water and metal so many times. Thats what a different site told me to do. Advice?
I got it first try with quicksilver and ash while going for platinum.

It’s Hail and Sonic, only combo that will work for amethyst. Took me about 2 weeks of constantly breedin them, got moon, sun and other rare ones before amethyst popped up.
I got amethyst in upgraded cave. Just yesterday, so hope you gotten one by now. Still trying for cyclops!

Love and quicksilver got me copper dragon.
My son is unable to race since 16th March and gets ‘internal error’ message what is this as I can load and race on my park fine? we are using an android device, is anyone else having this problem and can anyone give tips on how to solve this sudden error?
I used swamp and magnetic on the epic breeding island, hoping for the cyclops dragon and ended up with a rainbow dragon! 🙂

Got it doing seaweed and magnetic
Quake and Rust, both level 10.
This dragon is killing me. I have tried for 3 weeks straight and nothing. I use level 10 magnetic and swamp and level 10 love and quicksilver and nothing. One my second try I randomly got a platinum but now nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I try to raise them up to level 15? Will that help?

Received this on first try with Swamp and Magnetic. It’s been at least six weeks since I have gotten a dragon I’m actually going for. I have yet to acquire any gemstone dragons. Rather aggravating. Hoping to gain more soon. I don’t mind trying many many times, but almost two months and no gemstone dragons.. Gggrrrr
After 30+ attempts with magnetic and swamp I took a suggestion from the boards and tried panalong and magnetic. It worked on the 4th attempt. Woot!!

Love+quicksilver worked 1st try for me. The game just requires patience, but this is the 1st rare dragon I’ve gotten 1st try. Other than gold Olympus which I tend to ALWAYS get which makes me mad. The breeding times are too long.
