Yes, but you need to buy the gem tree first. If you do, you can send 6 gems per day.

Got an 8 hr breeding time with SmokeXObsidian. Any idea what it is?
If you have upgraded breeding cave and island it could be a lava (or a bone until the end of today, the 13th). If your cave or island is not upgraded it could be an obsidian or a blazing
Just thought I’d post this here. I tried getting this damn garnet dragon, SO MANY TIMES. I have currently spent $15 on speeding up my Smoke and Obisidian dragons, in both island and cave (both upgraded), and I never got a damn thing. I just then decided to give up, but gave it one more shot.
And I got a freaking: LEAP. YEAR. DRAGON. oh god yes, it was like one of those second prizes on tv shows that are better than first.
However, got to say that I’m still pissed off about my 5 smoke dragons, 4 blazing dragons, 2 lava’s (F*** you lava dragons), and 3 obsidians resulting in nothing but more of the same.
Does anyone know what the percentage chance may be of getting that Garnet?
I totally hear ya! I’ve tried just as much and nothing! I even upgraded both breeding areas… Still nothing! I sold my current smoke and obsidian dragons to make newer ones at lower levels… Nothing! I’ve tried combos of level 10 – 16! Nothing works!

This should make all of you laugh. I was one of the lucky ones to get the garnet dragon on the first try with smoke+obsidian. ( here is the funny part) …I accidentally sold it while explianing the game to my nephew and not paying attention. :(. I have yet to get another garnet dragon to replace it. Lol I am sure it will happen before the end of the month.

I’ve been trying for the Garnet, kept getting Blazings….. until this last time… came up with a Solar Eclipse!!!! Definitely not going to complain about that. I’ll keep trying for another 18 days
I have been trying for this dragon since the first day it was available. So far with smoke and obsidian combo I have breed about 13 more obsidians and a whole lot of other dragons except for for this GEM dragon ……. Grrrrrrrrrr

If you are having trouble getting the Garnet dragon I can help… You need to in download your dragonvale and redownloaded it… I have tried 25 times then after doing the above action got it 1st try… For some reason the game didn’t load up the garnet dragons data soooo yehhhh

Wow! I’ve lost count of how many attempts I’ve made for the garnet dragon(25+) & have to admit I was skeptical, but knowing that my park was safely stored in my Game Center, I gave it a try & IT WORKED!!! Here is what I did: I signed out of my Game Center & then went & removed the Dragonvale app from my device. I then went to the App Store & re-installed Dragonvale, went to my EBI and FIRST TRY with obsidian & smoke dragons got 31 hours!!!! YAY!!!! Thanks for the tip!!!

Call me crazy but o don’t even know how to log out of Game Center. Can I get help from someone on how to do it?
Celene: Tap your Game Center icon & it will bring up your Game Center main page. It will say “I am…” followed by your Game Center name next to your photo if you have one. Below that there will be three categories across: games, points, & friends. Below that there will be a status bar, under which will be a change photo bar & finally below that it will say Account: followed by your account name. If you dont see the account bar, be sure to scroll down. Tap the account bar which will bring up a box that says Game Center account above your account name. Tap the 2nd bar down that says “sign out” & you’ll be signed out. Good Luck!!

Listen to Storm Trahan!!!! Sign out of game center. Then delete dragonvale and re-download. I tried over 30 times to get this dragon. I did this and got it second try!!!
I tried that yesterday and it didn’t work for me.
Hasn’t worked for me either.I’m up to 7 goes after reloading.But my game is running better and I have a new gem friend.I still have three gems left if anyone is willing to swap gem for gem.add whothefckcares
Well it took another 10 goes after reload but finally I got one.i also have all 6 gem traders,thank you.
