I got mine with plant and fire, first try in normal breeding cave

I got it with tree + flower, first try in upgraded normal cave. Actually, I want Sakura or Clover.
I got it with Crystal and Sonic Without trying. Go figure.
I put a thunder and lightning and got it first try
Just got mine with Water/Fire. I’m grinding quick cash by breeding air dragons and selling them. Suddenly got a 13 hour breeding time in the cave. I was curious, so I used gems to finish the breeding quick and see the egg. It’s the Motley egg.

What does it mean in the description at the bottom where it says that “motley dragons are related to a rumored invisible dragon”?
You think it’s just more April Fools’ tomfoolery?
No, the dragonvale wiki said that the invisible dragon was used by backflip studios as a prank, but the invisible dragon cannot be bred, and I don’t think it will be used anymore.
This is crazy I just got the motley with river and iceberg! Was trying for aquamarine!! And I think I got another one 2 the 2nd time around.
Too late for Aquamarine … That one is only available in February

I just got an aquamarine (my third) today!
Just got this too with river and iceberg! Was trying as I have all month for aquamarine.

Thought you must be mistaken because there is no fire element BUT I had to try it and also got motley. Strange but I’ll take it, easiest one I’ve gotten yet.
Are you sure its not a river dragon? Because I just got 13 hrs with the same combo and would like to know what it is going to be.

Same here! How is it even possible to get it from aquamarine and iceberg? I’ve managed to get two of these and 5 century dragons but still, no damn aquamarine!

Just got a Mötley with Quake and Willow in EBI.
Just got my second … this time with flower and tree.
Oh and I got one first try with flower Lvl. 15 and poison level 10 on the breeding island. Real easy.
Managed to get two, one with blue fire and storm and one with air and lightning. Starting to think ANY combo will do it (first two were le els 18 and 17, the second two were both level 15).

I think this dragon is fools’ luck – you might get it by simply trying anything. No rules.

I got it first try with evergreen and fire.
I got this dragon on the epic breeding island with poison and blazing, both level 15.
Was going for a Platinum, with level 15 Glacier and Quicksilver, ended up with a Mötley. Weird.
I just got one while trying to breed a Spring dragon using Hail & Firefly… No plant element.
Just got a Mötley Dragon by accident while breeding Metal and Chrome. Weird. Lol.

THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ME!! I did HAIL (L) FIREFLY (R) got 11 hours, so I did fast incubate and BOOM! Got it. So I decided to do TREE (L) BLAZING (R) and yup you guessed it BOOM! I got another one lol I’m so excited. Plus I finally got that spring dragon 🙂 but ow I don’t have the gems to hatch them XD

It can’t be possible to get motley dragon for 11 hrs in a regular breeding cave.

Got this dragon by accident with hail and firefly (trying for spring) and cactus and mine whilst trying for silver. I don’t want anymore! Hopefully it won’t just keep simating this type of dragon otherwise it will be totally annoying trying for the dragons you actually want!
since this is a limited dragon u should keep at least one.

Ok, i got this one by accident! I was trying to made the Bluefire dragón and i got this one!! I got it with Fire at the left and ice at the right.try it!

I bred firefly and seaweed for a rainbow, and I got 13 hrs. Is it a motley dragon? Oh and weird how they named this dragon after the American heavy metal band they could’ve given it a much better name 🙁
It’s not named after the band. It’s named fr the costumes that jesters (fools) wore as they entertained lords and ladies at court with their antics. This also explains the color scheme of the egg and the appearance of the dragon.
Grab a dictionary. “Motley” is an adjective that band used in their name, but I seriously doubt they were going for that reference.
Actually, the description for this dragon does reference several songs by the band, so it is no coincidence.

It’s also the pattern of the jesters in court. They are ‘fools’ and its supposed to be the April Fools dragon.

I’m a little angry, I bred plant and storm in my breeding cave (trying for bloom), then flower and poison on my island (trying for motley.) Both of those dragons have a 10 hours 24 minutes upgraded breeding time and that’s what both of my breeding places said. Well both of those combinations got me a motley dragon! Was that supposed to be a trick?

I know this is weird but I got the motley dragon by using Lichen and Metal. I was aiming for the silver dragon. I bred the two BEFORE the motley dragon came. Well That Escaleted Quickly.
I got mine with Blue Fire + Poison … 1st try So excited

Same exact situation happened with me. Both I got both the Moltey and the Aquamarine dragon at the same time ;3 so happy

Got mine with Fire & Iceberg (both level 10) trying to get Bluefire. I get 13 hours. So, I look at all the dragons that have 13 hours and none of the elements match. I’m thinking WTH? How does that happen? I thought it might have been a glitch. So, I get it in incubation and it’s Motley’s egg.
Then I breed Copper & Quicksilver (both level 10) going random. Same thing happened!!!!
Then when I tried for Motley with Poison & Forge (both level 10), I get 24 hours. I did the same thing like I did above none of the elements match. So, I’m expecting Spring.

This sounds unbelievable, but I got Motely with cold and metal. I know that those are not the elements for motely but it worked. Weird.
