I think if you have the twilight tower you also need to set your tower to day to get this.
OK, I got it first try and hatched it using gems – it can go in your seasonal habitat. And you do need to change the tower to day.

You dont need a twilight tower to get this dragon. The twilight tower is just an item that you can change from night to day at any time you want im pretty sure

After about 20+ tries for daydream using Lv 19 Hypnotic and Lv 16 Mirage, I switched Hypnotic to Lv 16 Heat and got Sunstruck on the first try in the EBI! still wish I could get Daydream, though.
I got it first try (which absolutely never happens) when trying to breed the daydream dragon! I switch the hipnotic to heat and just got it^^ just wondering though what is this twilight tower people keep talking about and where can I get one? How mucb is it?

Can I get this despite not having the twilight tower? I have been trying non-stop and have even used gems to speed breeding but nothing is happening. Constant 7 hour and 12 hour results. Are my attempts even going to pay off even if I don’t have that tower?
Yes, my son got it on the second try while I’m in the same boat as you. I want to pull my hair out. I’ve even switched from the island to the cave.
I believe you have to breed this during the hours of 7am and 7pm (day) just like the sun dragon. The twilight tower thing allows you to make it day or night on demand. If you don’t have the tower, I’m not sure what time zone those times correlate to exactly. Maybe someone else knows?? Hope that sorta answers your question.
Help! Is there any other way to get the sunstruck!? I don’t have a mirage dragon, I’ve been trying to get it with no success and if there’s any other combo that I can use that anyone knows of, that’d be great, thanks!
After spending about 200 gems i finally got it one day before it went away
I still haven’t gotten it and it’s close to being gone.. Nor did I get daydream or sapphire and have all the dragons at level 18. Getting real discouraged with this game and I’m done buying gems
I also have tried nonstop since the sunstruck dragon came available, and still no luck. I am getting very upset since there’s only 1 hour left to get it. I love the game but enough is enough.
well, lesson learned the hard way. I spent almost every last gem rushing the breeding of Mirage x heat at the end of availability for this dragon. I started breeding as soon as Sunstruck was made available and stayed steadfast. But, alas! No Sunstruck! ;-(
I will not waste my precious gems like that again. I will eat my words, “Keep breeding. You will eventually get it.”. WRONG! Congrats to all who were lucky!!

Backflip – ease up on a little. I’ve been trying to get a Sunstruck, a Victory, and a Hydra ever since they came out. This has become tedious and boring instead of entertaining. Maybe it’s time to move on.
Well I guess I’m done with this game after playing for several years. After answering the stupid question of my birthdate (of which Hasbro had no business asking) I lost all my game progress and it started me back to square one! I have zero interest in starting over. I hope the people I was faithfully trading gems with each day read this to know what happened.
If a person loses all game progress because a company is demanding information they had no right to ask in the first place it reveals the ” priorities” of that company. Hasbro ruins every game they get their hands on and they are doing it to Dragonvale too. I can only assume I’m out of luck for INAPP purchases as well.
Good luck everyone. I have no idea if my game will ever be recovered…frankly I’m already at the point where I could care less because they have rigged the game to make it next to impossible to get the dragons now. We can thank the greedy people of Hasbro for that one too.
Oh, I am sorry you lost your game! But all the games on our devices , I believe, are designed to be fully achieved by spending real money. I play for fun so no, absolutely no, regarding spending money. I hope your game will be retrieved!!
Does anyone have a galaxy dragon other than the polarian and antarian? I want to try and collect all of them and I don’t have any friends on dragon vale that have them.

I’ve been trying for over a week with this combination and no luck for a sunstruck dragon. On a positive note…I accidentally got one of the rift dragons!!! Waiting to see which one it will be. Wanted to share the knowledge 🙂
