I tried multiple times on the EBI with level 16 Plant/ level 16 Dark with no luck. First try in the breeding cave with level 11 Nightshade/ level 13 Fungus!
I saw this comment and went and tried it. I had tried plant and dark over and over with no luck, and I tried this and it worked. Thanks!

Ugh this whole bring um back thing is cool and all but its so difficult to decide which dragons are best to get now or later in another event?
That’s why i constantly check availability on all the dragons and who you need to breed them. If you don’t have the dragons to breed one, or have too much trouble tryjng to breed it, get that one. That’s what I’m doing for the candy bash. And i looked ahead on the halloween calander that gives you gifts and saw thst you can get the thicket dragon if you sign in everyday, so I’m getting nightbloom instead, because I have the rest. If I didn’t look ahead, I wouldn’t have been able to purchase the new nightbloom dragon, cuz i would’ve ended up with 2 thickets instead and not enough candy to get nightbloom. That just leaves Lycan and Trick which I’ll just get another time. They’re both kind of ugly anyway. Lol
Tried several times with Plant & Dark to no avail… Got it on the 3rd try with lvl 11 Thorn & lvl 15 Dark dragons in the regular breeding cave.
