Motorola says “Screw the nano”

In what can only be described as “sour grapes”, Motorola CEO Ed Zander is quoted in a recent interview as saying “Screw the nano. What the hell does the nano do? Who listens to 1,000 songs? People are going to want devices that do more than just play music, something that can be seen in many other countries with more advanced mobile phone networks and savvy users.”
This can perhaps be seen a s a response to the overwhelmingly favorable reviews of the nano, and the overwhelmingly UNfavorable reviews of Motorola’s iTunes enabled Rokr cel phone.
****UPDATE****9/26/05 Motorola has responded to the article in which CEO Ed Zander made the above comments, and claims the remarks were taken way out of context, and should be seen as a joke.
