Microsoft delays Windows Vista launch due to security and stability concerns

Posted by Lab Rat

Microsoft’s shares fell 3% after it announced it would be pushing back the launch of its new Windows Vista operating system to January 2007 from a late 2006 date. Among the reasons Microsoft cited were stability and security concerns with the OS. Additionally, Microsoft claims they did not want to upset PC makers by releasing the OS during the upcoming holiday season.
