Apple Joins Khronos – iPhone imminent?
A forum posting at iPod Wizard claims that Apple has joined the mobile phone industry consortium known as Khronos. Khronos’ purpose is “to standardize mobile phone applications across the industry. In visiting Khronos’ web site we were indeed able to confirm that Apple, along with Dell and Google, joined the group July 31st. While many technology companies that are not directly affiliated with the mobile phones industry are also members, with so much speculation about the “iPhone, this seems to throw a bit more fuel on an already blazing inferno of a rumor.

Other members of the Khronos consortium include Broadcom, Sony Ericsson, Fujitsu, Epson, Panasonic and more.

I’m pretty convinced Appe WILL be releasing aniPhone.
The real question is, will this be bundled with a specific service, a new Apple service, or (hopefully), just be sold unlocked to work with all services?
