Apple acquires Proximity, maker of artbox media asset manager (FCP6?)

Things are looking bright for users of Final Cut Pro.
Apple has officially announced it has acquired a company called Proximity, which claims to be “a dedicated leading provider of creative media asset management and production workflow software.”
As anyone who has tried to use Final Cut Pro in a professional environment knows, the way FCP handles saving your media assets (by spreading them across multiple drives in non-intuitively named folders) can get quite frustrating. Well, all that may change with Final Cut Pro 6 if the underlying technology behind Proximity’s “artbox” media asset handling software is leveraged by the FCP design team.
