“Yoga Today” Offers Free Daily High-Def Yoga Workouts For Your iPod

Posted by Helper Monkey

Yoga Today has begun a new feature on their site which offers to put a new, 1-hour-long yoga workout on your iPod, every day (that’s right, 7 days a week, 365 days a year) for free.

Each 1-hour long episode is filmed in High Definition, and comes in 3 formats; iPod (320×240), Quicktime (470 x 270), or an HD WMV (1280 x 720). The iPod videos clock in around 365 MB, while the HD WMV is a whopping 1 GB. (An audio-only version is also mentioned, but currently there are no links to support them).

From Yoga Today’s Site:

“Wake up each morning to a free one-hour yoga class from beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming. World class yoga instructors Adi Amar, Neesha Zollinger and Sarah Kline will take you through a session that focuses on strength building, flexibility, stamina, and meditation-in-motion. Yoga Today delivers a new show, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, keeping your workouts fresh and energizing.”

You can access Yoga Today’s archive of shows here.

I just downloaded the first 4. These look good. Filmed in HD. I wish they made the iPod ones at the new 640 size though. I often hook my iPod to the TV and watch shows that way, and this would be cool too. The HD WMV looks AWESOME. Since bandwidth doesn’t seem to be an issue, I would suggest they put both the 320 and the 640 ipod versions up. No need for a regular QuickTime. Anyone that can play that can play the other two ipod versions as well.

and nice I get the Apple TV thing, I will REALLY want these to be 640!

(here I am complaining about something free!)

I love these. I download the HD WMV and then make iPod versions using QT Pro.
