History: Watch Omar hijack the Panther Introduction video
Watching this, you may wonder if it is Apple’s Panther introduction video, or a commercial for its host, Omar. I love this video. It has everything; special guest stars, Omar, bad acting, Omar, Phil Schiller, Omar… the only thing missing is more Omar, and it even has that too! The best thing about Omar is apparently, much as a shark must keep swimming to stay alive, Omar will die if his hands stop moving.
For me the biggest highlight is the incredibly natural conversation Omar has with Phil Schiller over iChat AV:
Phil: “Hey Omar, how are people liking Panther down there?”
Omar: “People down here are LOVING IT!”
I think they are just loving you, Omar! I know I am.
Wow. Phil is no Steve.
But Omar IS Ryan Seacrest.
Oh man I remember watching this and thinking it was ace. I seem to think I went out and purchased Panther shortly after!
