Redefining “geekiness” – Watch the iPhone’s clock “spring ahead” for Daylight Saving Time
Man, I wish I could say this is the geekiest thing that I’ve done, but I can’t…
(iPhone users click here to watch the video)
Well, there you go. I think it’s now safe to say that every possible aspect of the iPhone that CAN be covered, HAS been covered. So let’s all just move along to something else, people.
I stayed up just to watch it happen on my MacBook
And the funny thing is, it didn’t jump right to 3:00 like this
Went from 1:59 to 2:00 momentarily, then decided to hit 3:00
Didn’t think to take a video of though!
How do we know that wasn’t stop action video? 😉
Well, there is a bit of slight camera wiggle at two points where I was laughing at how stupid it was to be videoing this….
Of course, maybe I just added those in post for “realism”. 🙂

73 degrees at 2/3am? Nice!
Your digital baby is growing up. Changing it’s own time, next it’ll be surfing the net all by itself looking up pictures of other phones without any faceplates on.
Your link for iPhone users goes to a YouTube video that is not available to iPhone users. 😉
That was so suspenseful! (I am so much more of a geek that I had previously realized! LOL) I have to admit that I was hoping for a bit of a springy eye-candy surprise from the iPhone developers, but I’d settle for just having an iPhone of my own.
I cant believe this is even worth discussing.
you are way too obsessed with the iphone
You should get help – serious…. 😛
Epic.
I call Fake on this one.
what? no wi-fi??
Bryan – it’s always at 73 degrees on the icon.
Well presented – I still can’t believe I actually watched it though!
