So who took the picture?
I’ve always wondered if it was possible to take a picture of a group of skydivers without one of them giving the “thumbs” up sign. While I suppose we may never know for sure, I am leaning towards “no”.
After playing around in Pangea VR for the iPhone, I’ve noticed that a lot of panorama shots end up with the creepy severed foot or hand of the photographer at the bottom. That is why I find this Skydiving QTVR sent in by faithful Macenstein reader Bernd so impressive. (Well, that and it’s an amazing shot).

I suppose odds are the clouds below may have helped the photographer Photoshop away any traces of his existence, but still, great shot. Click here to see an insanely giant version.
I don’t know how he did it but I’m pretty sure I can see him hiding behind the left hand side of the door. Supper-duper aspherical panoramic lens maybe?
On a serious note that is the coolest watermark/cameo I have ever seen.
Thanks Doc.
I got sick scrolling around that panorama…
It looks like the hands holding the camera are photoshopped in. The lighting and shadows are wrong. Perhaps they were holding the boom?
