It’s changed the way I perceive mobile phones, which I no longer view as utilitarian, neolithic devices made to call and text. Phones are now “allowed” or, rather, “required” to be computers as well. I love it.
It’s not just my phone – it’s the camera and computer I have with me at all times – it may not be perfect, but what is!

When my daughter is ccrying in a store and I just want to finish I hand her the phone and let her play with her two apps on there. She loves it. Shopping is so much easier now

Being able to showcase my video work anywhere I’m at and being connected to any information I need at my fingertips! iPhone was the first GPS device we’ve own which has been huge! By far, the first device to make everything feasible and usable! After visual voicemail too, I’ll never look back!
It reminds me to put on my pants every day.

Listen to many more podcasts because while I’d occasionally forget my iPod I’d always have my phone with me. Also much more efficient in almost everything I do.
In many ways, in entertaining myself, in my organization of day to day projects, in my game playing and it even has helped me get where I need to go!
I never had to be without e-mail for more than a few minutes!
I love the ipod and phone together. i’m never bored on a bus anymore, and always remember to bring my phone.

Having Weather radar in the palm of your hand and it be accurate within minutes is one of the big benefits to me.
Also Live traffic navigation with Waze… saved me several times from getting trapped in bad traffic on the way to a job.

My iPhone has prevented me from getting lost manyyy times now that I always have a map and directions on the go.

I don’t need to scramble for a pad and paper or a camera or run back to my desk to capture ideas.
It made my Girlfriend happy! (I actually brought her one)
I can easily work from anywhere.

I think having only one device I need to cary when I go out instead of a camera, phone, and ipod is sweet to no end.
I don’t own one yet (as soon as the 4th generation comes out in Canada), but I dream to use it as the brain in many little gadget such as a robots. I dream to make an intelligent house where my iPhone is also the central brain.
It helps get my Zynga Poker fix, since my Droid doesn’t have an app for that.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I am now always reachable somehow. I would say I am overly connected because I get work communications all the time.
The iPhone is now a portable oracle for me. Information when you’re away from your desk or home. No problem.

everytime the initial joy of owning one an iPhone starts to wear off, I discover a new app that brings so much more functionality to it. The apps are amazing!

I don’t know yet. I just ordered it. It should be here tomorrow.
I can stay connected and keep tons of important information (before only available on my computer) in my pocket.
I’d have to say at first the camera was the biggest thing. The ability to capture any moment, without worrying if I brought a camera, or if the batteries were charged, or if the memory card was full. But that was a long time ago… or so it seems.
Nowadays my iPhone 3G keeps me organized with my calendars. My bank has an app, so I can do all of my banking on the go. Games to pass time on my daily bus/boat commute to school. Mail keeps me in contact with my mentor, which is extremely useful.
Oh, and 1Password gets a mention here too. It’s helped me keep my many (and I mean many) passwords always with me, yet always secure.
