The Beatles are still on iTunes
When Apple teased that its last special event would be “Just another day. That you’ll never forget.”, we didn’t realize it would be because they wouldn’t LET us forget. Seriously, it’s been a month and counting…
Thanks to faithful Macenstein reader Mike for reminding us to be annoyed at this.
They usually don’t change the main image unless there’s have something new to announce. We could see this until iPad 2.
@fogdevil,
It’s Christmas. Pretty sure they can think of SOMETHING else they’d like to sell…

yes! thank-you! this annoys me no end! i don’t go to the apple store to see 4 blokes in black and white, i go to see shiny tech! *sadface*
i didn’t care a month a go when The Beetles came to iTunes, and i still don’t no matter how much apple want me to, i really don’t.
You mean I’m not the only one??
Every time I see an ad for “Beatles now on iTunes,” blah blah blah, featuring old B&W footage featuring dated hair styles, clothing styles, technology, and wussy looking guys, I can’t help but feel like it’s part of some PBS special.
I’m sorry Beatles fans, but while their music is decent, I’m too young to have been immersed in the imagery, and this exposure seems like a real let down from all the hype.
The ads may be in the usual Apple format, but the images and video are a jarring break from the sleek, sharp, cutting edge look we’ve come to expect.
Steve had his moment of finally spearing the great white whale, but to a lot of people, it’s not that bog of a deal. To blather on about it STILL is something myself and a lot of people I know *couldn’t care less about.*
Just let me know when you’ve got some new hardware eye-candy for me to ogle. Then you’ll have my attention for the 60-or-so times I might see your ad.
