When it came time to marry, I fell for someone of another race/culture. This was frowned on by my family in every way, so my future wife and I planned our wedding without the help of my family. Money was tight, not knowing how she found out money was coming up short for the wedding, my mother got the whole family together to see how they could help coming up with a member that did the catering, other members that where in a band (who knew?) and provided the entertainment, my mother herself and church group to act as hostess at the reception. It was amazing how well everything came out!
She managed all this a week and a half before the wedding day and both my wife and I will never forget it. 🙂
She bought me an Atari 2600 in 1979 for x-mas.
She never killed me the many times she probably should have.
The nicest thing my mom ever did was all through my life: she’s always been patient with me and supportive of my decisions (even when I knew she didn’t agree with what I was doing!)
My mom is the best! She has done so many wonderful things for me – but I just really love the little things. A card for all the little holiday (Halloween, Valentines, St. Patrick’s) and various care packages.
What can I say – she rocks!

Other than buying me my first pony when I was 12, and more recently a Kindle, she is always supportive and there for me. Even as a working mom when it wasn’t popular, she was a great example to me, and a wonderful friend. What more could you ask for?

my mom is awesome. She is one of my best friends. I tell her almost everything. Thats whats awesome about her. She helps out with my daughter and really is the one who allowed me to go back to school to get a degree in something i love without her I wouldn’t have been able to 🙂
She loved, and still loves, all her children unconditionally.
Even when I’ve been wrong, she was always right.
I have two very much older sisters, and my mother thought she would be a nice lady. She handed down their bright pink 70’s bicycle with the white banana seat, and sparkly handle grip streamers. Thanks Mom!
She has been there through thick and thin. Without mom I wouldn’t be here. So far she has never regretted that decision. Maybe touch and go a few times. 😉
when i leave the dentist, she would rent me VHS tapes of my favorite cartoons (Transformers G1, Voltron, etc) , and take me to the store all swollen faced to get a any toy i picked out.then got me a happy meal.
made each visit to the dentist seem less brutal and horrifying as a young kid.
My mom has given me love, attention and security. She has always put her needs before mine 🙂
The nicest thing my mom ever did for me was become my mom. At age 25, she took on a 7 year old girl, an 8 year old boy, and a 10 year old boy with Down Syndrome, and raised us like we were her own. She is the most amazing woman I know, and the person I admire most. BEST MOM EVER. End of story. 🙂

My mom has always loved me unconditionally and for that I will always be grateful.
When i was like 14 years old, i went through the divorce of my parents, it was an ugly scene that took like 6 months to end, my dad was still living in the house with my mom and my little brother, and one night i remember i was starving it was like 3 am in the morning and i went to my dad and wake him up to cook me something or whatever and he said no and went to sleep, then I went to my mom’s bedroom and she was awake and listened to me when I was walking and when I opened the door she went up, and took me by the hand, we went downstairs to the kitchen and she cook me the best damn sandwich ever, and a glass of juice, she was with me like for half an hour until I finish eating my food, and then she took me to the bed, kiss me goodnight =), thats the best thing that she ever did for me, my mom is the best =)
She did everything for me even tho i was a brat to her.
She Home-schooled me.
Mom did countless things for us growing up. My sis and I were just reminiscing and remembered the first summer we were able to stay home by ourselves while she went off to work. She spent a whole weekend cooking and preparing all kinds of food to freeze so that we would have nutritious things to eat. Times sure have changed since then, but 30 years later we can still remember exactly what she cooked for us. Thanks Mom!

She puts gas in my car anytime I’m feeling bummed lol. Gas is her go to gift. Hooray inflation!
