Al Gore is going to fix FCP X

Al Gore will fix Final Cut Pro X
Don’t worry everyone, Al Gore is on the case. At least assuming this post by John Davidson on the Creative Cow Forums is legit.
I’m at Promax in NYC and got to meet and greet with keynote speaker Al Gore just a few minutes ago. Working up all my courage, I decided to sandbag him with complaints about Final Cut Pro X. Here’s how it went down.
Don’t worry everyone, Al Gore is on the case. At least assuming this post by John Davidson on the Creative Cow Forums is legit:
ME: “Mr. Vice President, I’m a stockholder and fan of Apple. Quite a few of us are having problems with Final Cut Pro X. It doesn’t do quite a bit of what we need to do our work. ”
AL: “What doesn’t it do?” he asked.
ME: “It can’t open previous projects and doesn’t lay to tape just to name a few. While I understand the need for secrecy the next time you get a chance, could you pass the word on to Apple that those of us in TV that use the Final Cut really need a roadmap or at least some official response on if and when we can expect these things to come back?”
AL: “I’ll make sure to let them know”.
ME: “Thank you!”

Maybe we’ll hear something. He is an Apple board member, after all.

I have been wanting to buy Final Cut Pro X, after I read this I checked the Apple website to read comments that users of Final Cut Pro X have left about the product, but the software was only available for sale by down load so there were no comments to read about the product. I find that curious, looks like Apple is trying to hide the deficiencies in their product instead of fixing them.

Save your money if you are an actual Pro for a “real” PRO app. Sorry to say it is not Apple Final Cut anymore. Adobe or AVID will be the next app to get!

FCPX just is missing too many pieces. With Apple discontinuing Final Cut Studio immediately, it signals the END of support for actual pro users. BYE Apple it was a good run, but I am afraid it is over for me!

  3. Hey guys, I’m the guy in reference. Feel free to post a link to my blog, which has pictures from our meeting.
