    I won a sales contest when I was in junior high school. They held a pizza party for the top five salespeople and we could each bring a friend. Sadly, I was unable to attend the party but it was cool to be the winner.

    The best competition I’ve ever won was the 1975 (4?) Frankfurt International High School Math Competition. My team won as well, and I got my photo in the Stars & Stripes. The prizes sucked, though. They had expected a german and german team to win, and had prizes picked out for them. So we got stuck with consolation prizes.

    The best prize would be two tickets to devo, around ~1980.

    Best thing I ever won was a FireWire hard drive at MacWorld New York the year they actually started appearing, I think it was only 40 GB but it was so cool and fast at the time – the best part was that my coworker had just given me his badge to get me into the expo that day and I won it from a vendor who scanned the badges somehow – he’d have won it if he wasn’t so nice to me.     The best thing I ever won was in middle school. I had a lego magazine subscription and I would do the puzzle contests in every issue, but never got anything. One day a huge package that was taller than me at the time (4’8″) appeared on my door step and it was full of a special series of legos. I had came in 3rd place on one of the contests and got it! I was the best prize building them in sections every morning before I left for the bus. Good times
