How frequent can I gem same person? It seems that my list only refreshes every 48 hours.
It depends on how many friends you have. The ideal situation is to get 7 people together that gives each other a gem every day. Or if you have heaps of friends then you can only give 1 gem every ?? Days depending on that. Hope that makes sense. My one re sets about every 3 – 4 days after I have given a gem to every friend that plays every day.
You have probably seen in GC that you can look at how many friends you have for “every day”,”every week” & then something like “of all time”. My one resets after giving to friends under ” every day”.

Thanks for thecreply jobi jam. I understand what you try to say but I can’t see in my GC what you described. In fact I can’t see all the friends on the list to gift gems but they are still on my game center list. Any ideas?
Yeah I should have been more clear. Once in Dragonvale you enter into your “Friends” by pressing the icon at the bottom right corner ( the middle one in right corner)
Then you’ll be able to see your friend list of G.C. Of the ones who also play Dragonvale.
Then you have their name on LHS, “Gifts” next & then “Visit”.
Above that it will say “6 gifts available” every 24 hours & you choose who to give them to. If you have heaps of friends you won’t be able to give the same people who you first give gems to – more gems until you have given other friends a gem.
Unless you organise 6 friends only, then you can give them a gem a day as it resets.
You can then also enter G.C. Through Dragonvale.

Thanks. Hmmm….but I can only see 4 friends on my list when I have about 10. Maybe mine is faulty somewhere…can’t gem them when I can’t see them. Maybe have unfriend some to start again. Sorry guys if you have been waiting for me to gem….this is the problem I am having.
Hi. I had the same issue last week where I did not see my entire friends list. I realized that an upgrade was out a few days before that I had not downloaded. Once I upgraded, I could see them all again. Hope you have the same issue, coz it was an easy fix. Good luck.
Thanks for the useful tip, am_01. it worked and fixed the errors!! On top of that after I updated dragon vale, I put rain dragon and mountain dragon in the breeding cave and got a 48 hour breeding time! Awesome!!!!

I had no luck with Mountain and Air or Snow and Earth. I finally got two Lunar Eclipse dragons using both caves in five tries.
NOTICE TO My FRIENDS: For some reason I can no longer give gems. My game crashes whenever I go to my friends list to try to give gems. Maybe it has something to do with me reaching level 40, or maybe it’s because I’m using an ipad one. I’m waiting for Backflip to respond to my concern.
Your guess is probably correct. I had the same problem on my ipad one (Tiny Village and Smurf Village also were crashing when visiting neighbours). Upgraded to the new ipad mini and no more issues with any of them.
However – a couple of things that worked about 75% of the time in Dragonvale especially…
1. Force close all other apps before starting Dragonvale.
2. After tapping the friends icon, don’t touch the screen again till after the user pics on your friend list finish loading.
And 3. If the above precautions still lead to a crash, force close all apps and power off the ipad. When you turn it back on, go straight into Dragonvale and go straight to your friend list (but still wait for user pics to load before doing anything more).

I forgot to say that I used mud and snow five times in both caves and got two lunar eclipse dragons.
Blazing+Mountain 1st try. Went for 2nd lunar eclipse dragon ended up with rainbow dragon. True story

I got it first try with mud and snow…. Can’t believe it after the difficulties I had getting the Sapphire and Topaz Dragons, they both took me until the end of the month.
Got it second attempt with Ghost + Snow on the regular breeding cave.
Finally got it!!! Earth and snow, boy that one was tricky. It took me till the end of the month for a sapphire and ruby. However, I managed to get 3 topaz. A first for me with any gem dragons!
I got it my first try the day it came out with macenstein’s second combo.
Got it on the regular breeding cave with rain and mountain.

Right after I got my panlong, I sped it up out of my ebi, and asked my mom what combo she used to get a lunar eclipse, I said I just wanna try. It didn’t lag at all when I pressed breed and I said “oh, I didn’t get it.” I pressed speed up and it said 48 HOURS!!
I used lvl 10 snow (left) and lvl 10 earth (right) on ebi!! Got 48 hours! I got 3 amazing dragons in one day! Moon, panlong, and LE!
