Apple updates iTunes/QuickTime
Apple has released updates for that dynamic duo of theirs, QuickTime and iTunes. (Check your Software Update).
According to Apple, iTunes 7.5:
“…features the ability to activate iPhone wherever service is offered and support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). This release also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.”
and Quicktime 7.3:
“…addresses critical security issues and delivers:
– Support for iTunes 7.5
– Updated support for creating iPhone-compatible web content
– Updated JavaScript support in the QuickTime Web Plug-in
– Numerous bug fixesThis release is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users.”
Since neither of these updates seems all that important, and since we’ve been burned before, our plan is to wait a day or two for Macenstein‘s braver readers to install these and get back to us. If you are one of said brave souls, please let us know if Flip4Mac still works after the update. Thanks!
Darn, this update killed my Pro Tools Core audio =(
Flip4Mac works fine and haven’t noticed anything else broke either.
All seems fine with the update. I let iTunes 7.5 install and then synced my iPhone and iTouch, both jailbroken, and all works fine still.
Flip4Mac still works for me. Did the update earlier, read your post and almost cried thinking I may have killed Flip4Mac. Thankfully, all is well.
