Sinbad uses a Mac – take THAT, Microsoft!

Yes, the OS war is pretty much over now. Comedian Sinbad was captured on tape “Jingling All the Way” over to the VMware Fusion booth at Macworld, and singing both its praises, and those of the Mac. “If I have to…use it [Windows Stuff]…I just grab Fusion and stay on the same desktop. Quickness. That’s what I like about it. So I can get back to my Mac“. The “A Different World” star seems impressively geeky, throwing out comments on Boot Camp, Parallels, and Linux. Who knew?

Anyone who attended MacWorld in the early 80’s when Sinbad was bought out to entertain the crowds along with other Mac Masters such as Actor Gregory Hines and writer Douglas Adams, both of whom are now gone.

Oops Me Bad – I meant the early 2000’s

I meant to leave a correction on my comment – when I said 80’s I meant early 2000’s

eh. the hardware geeks have Wil Weaton, and i guess the mac geeks get Sinbad. sad part is that i’m old enough to know who both of them are.

I also saw Sinbad at the Mac store in LA (Topanga Plaza) right before New Year’s. Didn’t know what he was there for, I was worried about getting my MacBook top case fixed (that cracks near the palm rest thing), which they did…

Yeah, I definitely knew Sinbad was a total Mac geek, he does the majority of his shopping and gets his computers serviced at the store I tech for in Woodland Hills. He has gone through literally dozens of laptop bags in a matter of months. We have had long discussions over which are the best, he knows his bags!
