Impromptu parking lot meetings beware! Custom Hyundai Genesis fitted with 3 Macs, a touch, and an iPhone 3G
That’s right, Hyundai. Actually, over the past 10 years or so, Hyundai has quietly been upping both the quality and cost of its vehicles, so it’s not quite as bizarre as it sounds that RIDES magazine would bother tricking out a $40,000 2008 Hyundai Genesis with three Mac computers (including a MacBook Air and two Mac minis), an iPod Touch, and an iPhone 3G.
Rounding out the package are a Farenheit DVD player, Genesis amps, Morel Hybrid Ovation speakers and two 12†subs. If that’s not enough, the RIDES Digital Genesis is a mobile Wi-Fi hot spot capable of supporting 50 simultaneous users.
“Staying connected is easy thanks to Apple wireless keyboards perched on flip-down tray tables with 8.4-inch VGA headrest monitors for each passenger. As if that’s not enough, there’s a 20†Apple Cinema Display in the trunk for web surfing, to access your iTunes account and impromptu parking lot meetings.”
Ahh yes, the “impromptu parking lot meeting”. I can’t even begin to tell you how many of those I’ve had this week alone.
Above: If you are a fan of computing while sitting in the trunk, then you’re in luck.
The car will be officially unveiled at this year’s SEMA show in Vegas Nov 4th.

Hyundai can charge as much as they want for a car… it’s still a Hyundai.
But, the Macs are hawt.
Looks nice, but ermmm, where do you put your shopping?
now THIS is “life on the road”!
I mean, If you park one of these near a good restaurant… that’s it! no need to buy a house!
umm, ppl really need to check out the specs of this car before callin it “just another hyundai”… Trust! This is the beginning of a beautiful union… 😀
Specs don’t mean much when the engineering isn’t up to par. Hyundai’s come a long way, but it’s largely a knock-off company of successful products from Japan.
High-end European luxury>Japanese economy>American middle-of-the-roaders>Korean knockoffs>European tin cans.
