Is that a wine glass icon or Lindsay Lohan getting out of a limo?

I suppose what you see here depends totally on how depraved an individual you are, but apparently both faithful Macenstein reader Cub and I see the same thing. “Hey, Long time reader, love the site! Thought you might appreciate this image, surely has to be the dodgiest iPhone app icon ever! There’s a few things this looks like and a glass of wine isn’t the first thing that came to my mind 🙂 “  Read More

Another “inspired” app hits the app store

Remember when the app store first launched, all those level apps that hit the store? It was quickly revealed that Apple shipped the source code to make a level app as part of the sample applications that come in the iPhone developer kit. All these people did in some cases was change the skin slightly (and in 1 notable case, not at ALL) and then they started selling it on iTunes. Well, faithful Macenstein reader anonymous developer alerts us that yet another lazy “developer”... Read More

No wonder it’s the number 1 app on iTunes…

I’m guessing a lot of the sales of iFart Mobile are based on insecure people looking to be the life of the party at holiday gatherings this week, so it will be interesting to see how sales hold up next week. Luckily for me I can save the 99¢, as I was blessed/cursed with the ability to make all those sounds without an iPhone. But still, if I was in the market for a farting app, this one seems fairly… potent. Above: Wow, Is there anything this app can’t do?  Read More

Apple: “No iBoobs for you!”

Apple may have loosened up its restrictions on iPhone farting applications (allowing over 20 of them through this week alone) and it may have introduced a whole new “17+” category to house a slew of new bloody and violent titles as well, but apparently sex is still off the table. Apple has rejected what is possibly the greatest iPhone application of all time – iBoobs by Mystic Game Development. Above: My God, I would have paid $1000 for this application. The... Read More

Who needs a watch? It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

Finally! The long awaited native iPhone app of the “Peanut Butter Jelly Time“ animated web gif that took the world by storm about 160 years ago. The port is horrible, which is awesome, given that the whole idea of the Buckwheat Boys singing banana is to be the most annoying thing ever, and all these years later, even with Paris Hilton and Ryan Seacrest out there, it still defends that title. (Barely). “Where he at? Where he at? Where he at? Where he at? Now... Read More

Um, ewww…

OK now, you see?! This is precisely why Apple has been trying to make it so difficult to Jailbreak an iPhone. Faithful Macenstein reader Jeremy (apparently just to mess with our heads), has installed the BlackBerry Storm theme on his iPhone. Curse you Cydia!!!!  Read More

Apple lets its Fart Flag fly

Earlier today we reported that Apple had finally allowed the controversial “Pull My Finger” app onto the iTunes store. The application, which is designed to play a humorous selection of fart sounds, had previously been denied iTunes acceptance due to “limited utility”. Well, it seems that Apple’s change of heart had little to do with any new “utility” the app might have, and more to do with Apple’s new “pro-farting”... Read More
