Won’t somebody think of the Children?! 32 Excellent iPhone Games for Kids

While it may sicken many of us, the fact is that many young children (we’re talking as young as 3 and 4-year olds) have iPod touches and iPhones – MY kids included. And as disappointed as I am in myself as a parent for giving them such an expensive gift, I’ve actually found that my 4 and 6-year olds both take excellent care of their iPods and (so far) treat them with an appropriate amount of reverence. This is likely due to their coveting my iPhone when... Read More

Celebrity Mac Chick Sighting: Jenny McCarthy

I always suspected Jenny McCarthy to be an Apple user, I just haven’t been able to find a suitable cleaning woman disguise that would allow me to break into her house to make sure. Luckily for me, these shots of McCarthy rocking a white iPhone 3G are evidence enough to convince me that my suspicions were correct, and will likely save me a long, drawn out stalking trial. I’m not sure why Jenny McCarthy feels the need to make a “funny” face every time the... Read More

Fieldrunners v1.2 released… And there was much rejoicing

Atomic Studios has just released Fieldrunners v1.2 with a slew of goodies sure to keep me too busy to update Macenstein for the next couple days. New in v1.2 is a new “Drylands” canyon map, a new flying Fieldrunner (a P-47 Thunderbolt), a new icon, better autosave, and faster loading times. But the big news for Fieldrunners fans is the addition of two new towers! First up is the Mortar Tower: Mortar Tower: With a destructive payload and an explosive force, the... Read More

iPhone breast jiggling war illustrates “Double-D” sized problem for iPhone developers

An iPhone breast jiggling battle is quietly brewing between Tod Baudais of iJiggles and Jon Atherton of Wobble, and as it escalates, it threatens to tear apart the very fabric of breast jiggling on the iPhone. I can only hope we can stop it in time. Above: Wobble and iJiggles. Aren’t there enough breasts to go around? Both apps launched within days of each other, with Wobble hitting the store two days before iJiggles, but both obviously being developed independently. Both... Read More

Finally, a new way to piss off your waiter other than that thing where you put an upside-down glass of water on the tip. Dollar Origami is a new iTunes application that shows you step-by-step instructions on how to fold your paper money into a wide variety of shapes that ALMOST resemble things. From elephants to tie-fighters, you can now leave your tips in a range of crumpled up shapes. Above: Trust me, these look about as good as they can without some sort of cheating. The app... Read More

Latest iPhone clone boasts unique feature

Currently one of the most watched items on eBay the $108.88 I68+ TOUCH SCREEN UNLOCKED I9 for T-MOBILE AT&T PHONE is one of the best iPhone clones we’ve seen, even if it IS a 1st gen clone. Above: Well, at least they took the Apple logo off, which is more than some clone makers did… Aside from the upside-down back and odd camera placement, you might think it was a real iPhone, except of course, like all iPhone knock-offs costing 1/4 the price, it appears to... Read More

Yo-Yo Ma forgets the iPhone has no zoom

Photographer David Bergman put together an amazing zoomable 2GB panorama of Obama’s inauguration ceremony that is really worth checking out. Of special note, you can see quite clearly that Yo-Yo Ma, still rocking the 1st gen iPhone, decided to use it to try to take some pictures of the event, and the back of Obama’s head. Thanks to faithful Macenstein reader JimmySchaps for the links! [via Cult Of Mac]  Read More
